Hi, I've lived in the US for 28 years, and from what I got, Sheldon was referring to how much he enjoyed the trip to antarctica, while the other guys didn't enjoy the trip, and they were just happy to be home, FYI- the other guys tricked Sheldon into believing he made a new discovery to confirm the string theory, so thats why he's so happy, but when he finds out the truth, he gets upset and moves to his moms house, you've seen the episode right? I'm glad to explain this for you

BBT and HIMYM are 2 really really different show...Wha they have in common is that they make me both laugh so hard. If i would chose i'd vote for HIMYM as better then BBT but just for the type of humor i prefer.

I don't mind Penny and Leonard right now because he's adorable but I don't see them lasting forever. He doesn't challenge her and he seems to like her for her un-attainability more than anything else (explaining the infatuation from day zero). I think if Sheldon can develop into someone who can stand personal relationships in the next few seasons, than eventually, and I'm talking a few years down the line, I think he and Penny would be great together.
