It's not that there "aren't too many black actresses," it's just that Hollywood likes to promote or pretty much overhype (think of Jolie for example) their caucasian actresses. Want proof? Look at Kerry Washington and Angelina Jolie's features very closely, they almost look like they can be sisters, only difference Kerry is black and Jolie is white, so go figure.

But I think what she meant by not wanting to be a "bad black person" is that she wanted to be a good representation of black people because of all the negative stuff that are out there in the media. And I know that one person should never a representation of any group of people, but lets be honest when 1 black person doesn't something negative, it more often than not becomes "oh all black people do that". So I think that's what she meant.

That's because we have our own country - America. And it's not just African-Americans that have preconceptions about "Africa". Every country/culture has negatives and positives. Americans are proud and more ignorant than they should be but my husband is Rwandan and I have never met a prouder people and I don't mean that as a compliment.
