  • @Shynemedia Try changing your tv settings to widescreen

  • human FOV is 100

  • Anyone know how to set my whole SkyrimPrefs.ini to default?

  • Fov 160 is how downers see

  • Why no FOV 360?! XD jk I know you said limit was 160

Wonder what it'd be like to have eyes around your head...

  • The swords gets very small though..? Or maybe it is just me..?

  • I doubt you'll know how to on ps3 but, part of my screen is cut off. For example, when it says "Gold Added (1000)" all I can see is "000)" ... Any ideas how to fix this? (I've tried other tv's, same results)

  • AHHHH MATH

  • take my strong hand

  • Your a legend!!!!!! thanks.

  • My computer runs this on ultra, however, no matter what setting I run Skyrim at, when I look at the sky, it flashes from brighter to darker quite frequently. Any suggestions?

  • @Diamondsarekewl that is sorta part of the game... your eyes adjust to the light after looking at it for a little bit.

  • what does disabling mouse acceleration get? better frame rates?? thanks

  • I have a question. I put my graphics on ultra. But for some reason when I get ingame and use spells I can't see anything coming out of my hands but I see the effect hitting the target. I go to my buddies house, and his spells look incredible I can see the flames leaving his hands. Any way I could fix mine? I want mine to be purrrrty too :)

  • Thanks

  • Why is my FOV in 3rd person on XBox so close!

  • Is it recommended to deactivate the VSync¿? I got a GTX 550 ti

  • Thank you so much!

  • This dude sounds like Zevran from Dragon Age!!!

  • Skyrim makes my mouse stutter, and is unresponsive to click most of the time. The game is running smooth, and my computer isn't slowing down. It's just my mouse, any fix?

  • Oh dope, you so serious

  • quick note tho, if you change the FOV with cosole command, and open the inventory, the screen will zoom back to default FOV even after you exit the inventory menu. you can simply change it back to 90, but since its an RPG, it gets annoying.

you can change it in the skyrim.ini or pref (forgot which one) and im sure they will stay permanently at 90 (or whatever you see it on)

  • i need help, i am getting bad graphics with the fog, it just looks like giant blocks

  • Can anyone help me with mosue acceleration? I have tried disabling the mouse accel setting but nothing happens the mouse is still accelerated/smotthed.

  • 1:19 "They've got curved swords! Curved swords!"

  • @RareAirSupply hammerfell bastards

  • I have a difference between Y and X axel depending where I am, inside a house or anything. The Y axel is much more sensitive than X.

Outside thought is it more sensitive on the X axel than the Y..

I've written down these mouse acc settings, but stil the problem remains!

    please help

  • Hey i can't change anything in the folder cos it says i don't have access. Do you know what i can do? Thanks

  • anyone else getting circles in the sky? like little rings that look like they mover outwards from directly above the character? Its almost always in the sky and its really messed up. i havent found anyone else with this same issue. snyone else having glitches ion the sky?

  • @keggerous Yes I see that ... what the hell is that. ?

  • @keggerous And its only at a certain time of the day either dusk or dawm its like rings forming I cant see it if I dont actualy gaze at the sky at those certain time of the day but yeah its there. weird

  • i can't hover my mouse to click and item on my inventory, I have to press 'w' and 's' to scroll and choose, the controller settings is already off. When I press TAB I hover my mouse to click map, it's not highlighted same thing when I try to choose a dialog, I have to press w,a,s,d to choose, is there any fix for this? I also can't left click to use equip item I have to press E and right click only. Any fix for this?

  • @Justwanttodosomethin If you have disabled the controller there shouldn't be any issues, you could try disabling it in the ini files as well.

Seems like you might have unbound Mouse 1? Go into the controls and bind Mouse 1 to Attack and try if that works.

  • @Dopelives Everything was set on default, already set the gamepad to off. Still same thing happen.

  • @Dopelives I have same sort of problems, 360 controller disabled but clicking Yes or No when Wait is not possible, choosing spells for right/left hand and it only offers me left hand, right is not working, i'm stuck with healing spell in right hand. Altho mouse works when casting spells, menus/UI's are BUGGED for mouse.

  • @Dopelives What specs do you have, dope?

  • DOPE

You should totally make some gameplay vidyas with this game.

    It would be awesome.

  • Cheers for the FOV tip, your voice is awesome!

  • Hey Dopelives! I was wondering if you can turn off the shadows completely?

Thumbs up so he can see pl0x!!

  • I love your voice man. Also please do tell is it Skyrim ini or SkyrimPrefs ini just be sure. Thanks by the way OP.

  • this is skyrim ENB series ^^

  • its sort of weird seeing a calm dopefish, and actually really enjoying the videos

  • Disabling the mouse for me doesnt work. When i change it to zero it is the exact same as befor. please help!

  • Great video! thanks!

  • I love this Dopefish.

  • Hello! Does anyone know how to turn off brightness fluctuation when when looking at bright things and then at dark?

  • @ViToosLuiViToon No idea what you mean, I never noticed anything like that. Do you mean bloom? Like how you get "blinded" after being in the dark and then coming out in the light?

  • @Dopelives Yes that's what i mean! The bloom! How do you turn that off?

  • @ViToosLuiViToon Don't know, sorry.

  • @Dopelives isnt that called high dynamic range?

  • @rookie2202 HDR isn't quite the same thing as bloom, although they're rather similar. I suggest you look at the wikipedia pages for both.

  • @Dopelives This section in SkyrimPrefs should be it, although I haven't tested it:

    [BlurShaderHDR]

    bDoHighDynamicRange=1

    Just switch the 1 for a 0.

  • @Dopelives Well bloom is just bluring of some values, hdr mean that game shows more colors than monitor screen can by adjusting exposure kind of what real cameras do.

  • @Dopelives Blooms usually under HDR in graphic options though

  • i laughed when you spelled "fiv"

  • You're video is a little misleading. At 2:38 the difference in the image has nothing to do with the setting you've changed, the rocks cast shadows by default. The rock isn't casting a shadow on the left hand side because the sun is above it, on the right hand side you've changed the time of day so that the sun is behind it.

You can clearly see it's dusk in the "Shadows On" part, and if you look at 2:46 you can clearly see the "Shadows Off" rocks are casting a shadow on the ground between them.

  • @ringosis

    Your ^

  • @ringosis Not true! Rocks do cast some shadows by default, mainly on the ground, but they do not selfshadow. The time between the recordings haven't changed significantly (shadows OFF does use a different FoV though, I kinda messed up there).

  • @Dopelives

Do you take requests? I'd like to see a video of X/Y movement comparison with the mouse. You are aware of the problem, right? Well, there's resistance that this problem actually exists. If it does not exist, it's easy to prove. We only have to show a video of equal X/Y speed. As it is, when you move the mouse right/left, it can be pretty fast, and it's linear. But up/down is the real problem.

So, crank up mouse sens, then move right/left, then up/down. Thank you.

  • @JackFook Not entirely sure how I'd make a decent video about that, it's kind of hard to see in a video, it's more of something you need to feel.

I doesn't happen all the time either way and I don't know exactly how to reproduce it. It sure is annoying though.

  • @Dopelives

Well, you'd need a camera pointed at your mouse, and something recording Skyrim. Then with some editing, merge and sync the two.

  • haha i can tell that u are from Sweden.. lol

  • What are your specs, Dope?

  • I've heard tweaking with the console inskyrim disables Steam achievements, can anyone confirm this?

  • I love Dope's soft voice, but it does sound like he's trying not to laugh at it.

  • How to with Dope - The ingame game informer guide. Preorder now!

  • It seems I need to set the FOV each time i exit and start the game. Have I done something wrong when setting FOV or is this correct? Workaround available? =)

  • Is there a way to change the level of detail on far objects, I mean i want to increase the distance of model swapping... i tried LOD and some things under the Terrain category but no luck changing anything. Seriously this really bothers me every time i come out of whiterun and there is piece of cardboard instead of the houses and windmills....

  • @SevDronePlay Put this at the bottom of your ini file:

    fBlockLoadDistanceLow=50000.0000

    fBlockLoadDistance=125000.0000

    fHighBlockLoadDistanceLow=20000.0000

    Also change fTreesMidLODSwitchDist= to 10000000.0000 and fGrassMinStartFadeDistance= to 400.0000

    Hope that helps!

  • Excellent voice & accent, Dopefish!

  • Less läsa från papper and more emotion!

  • As you can see in fov 160, we start entering WAAAARPSPEEEEED

    WHOOOOOAAAAA

  • I'm drunk.

  • GT-I9I00? we have the same phone dope :>

  • I find the nice dope completely hilarious for some reason

  • Dope's been taking his Ritalin. I quite enjoy it

  • educational dopefish!

  • Why so serious??? No for real, this is no fönny times

  • fov standard = console vision

    fov 95 = PC vision

    fov 160 = slenderman vision

  • These are great but I want a content review, how does Skyrim compare to Oblivion and more importantly Morrowind?

  • @Deekaighem This series isn't about comparing Skyrim to Oblivion or Morrowind, just to showcase some interesting and helpful things in Skyrim.

Skyrim is very streamlined compared to Oblivion and especially Morrowind, some might call it "casual", and it sort of is... but it's a fucktonne of fuck nevertheless. The combat is much improved, dialogue as well.

If you want to immerse yourself in a fantasy world: Skyrim is for you,

If you want a deep experience with lots of numbers and minmaxing: Not

  • @Dopelives Its also worth noting that higher FOV's increase the amount rendered by your PC, and hence could adversely affect performance. Thats another reason console FOVs are so small; they ARE 7 year old tech.

  • Wow Dope. The serious in this video is great. It sounds slightly like some cheesy walkthrough video haha. Great though, really awesome video :D

  • Thanks Dope this was very helpful.

  • fov 360

  • SEE ALL THE THINGS!

  • informative dope is a great dope

  • I play at 160 FOV like a boss.

  • That FoV is also in the new cod, annoys me so much cause as far as I know I cant change it

  • I actually prefer the FOV how it's set at first. But thanks for the tips anyways

  • Great video!

  • Your voice is mesmerizing. no homo

  • I dont have the bMouseAcceleration=1 line there at all. Can I just add it ?

  • @poplatok Yes.

  • i like the fact that shadows off makes it look like fallout 3

  • Why would you want to disable vsync ?

If your pc can run skyrim above 60fps at all times use vsync..

Feels like everyone who's played CS hates vsync and auto disables it

  • @Pir4t Vsync can give you input lag, and various other things that you don't want. There's a big issue with vsync in skyrim right now that makes your mouse act all sorts of crazy.

  • Thanks for these tweaks,Dopefish!

  • Lol calm Dope is so awkward

  • Love those videos Dope keep up the good work <3

  • i dont like it cause dope didnt laugh and he was really serious..

  • Thanks bro, great vid

  • You know why Dope is so calm? Because skyrim is SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS!!!!!!!

  • Please eat alot of seasoned spuds. You sound way too calm :D

  • Dope, can you upload your computer's specs?

I'm planning on building a gaming PC and I'd love to know what to base it around, thanks c:

  • @herespaul My computer is about a year old at this point, it wouldn't be especially good to base a new computer around it, especially not if you want a top-of-the-line one. There are several good guides online as to what you should be looking into these days, just hit up google.

  • Dope sounds like hes giving a lecture

  • You're actually really good at this. Possibly do a side channel with all your tutorials so people can not be put off by your 'clean' tutorials?

  • why you stop getting high off of life?

  • Wanna know how a frog see's? go to 200 FOV..

  • @kronosDking If you listened to the video he said the FOV maxed out at 160

  • @6teenNikkiandJonesy

    Wow, big deal asshole.

  • @kronosDking Wait- I must have read your reply wrong... how am I the asshole?

  • @6teenNikkiandJonesy

Because who the fuck goes to a Dopefish vid just to comment on someones misshearing?!

  • @kronosDking Funny, I was pretty sure that to correct someone's mishearing you had to watch the video yourself, therefore, not going on just to correct someone. Silly me.

  • Haha Dope, still awkward, but luckily the awkwardness is cute as fuck. Was this recorded after the feedback from the other two orr....?

  • Wow the other side of Dope is pretty cool :)

  • Albion cutscene not working for main story yey!

  • thank God you swore at 4:08, it was getting super weird !!

  • I think you should of done this by laughing maniacally at the names of your folders as you get to the .ini.

  • these are really good, keep it up!

  • You're way too nice, it's a bit awkward

  • @blind999 I'll be sure to be more of a dick in the next video!

  • @Dopelives good x)

  • You use a variable-width font in notepad?! O:

  • The description says to change 'bDrawLandShadows= 0 to bDrawLandShadows=0', which is the same. Other than that, good job!

  • @DynamoShark Fixed!

  • @Dopelives Where you said to add

    bUseWaterReflectionBlur=1

    bReflectExplosions=1

    iWaterBlurAmount=4

    bAutoWaterSilhouetteReflections=0

    bForceHighDetailReflections=1

to the bottom, where exactly did you mean? The very bottom of the notepad, or at the bottom of one of the heading things?

  • @TwistofFateish The bottom of the ini file. Really though, you can put it anywhere, if you want to put it under [Display] so that you know where it is for later, do that.

  • @DynamoShark Nicely spotted sir!

  • "You don't want to accidentaly fuck up your game ^__^" that's how I imagine Dope in nice-mode.

  • Why u hating on Skyrim :<?

  • @caviar360 did he say it??

  • lets play?

  • Comment removed

  • @Hazchem No, it's in the video description. I can't really make a video of it is all.

  • You're explaining far too much IMO, I'm not blind you know.

  • @KreatorRage To become blind set your FOV to 0. At this point we can see your field of vision has been completely cut off, this is because the '0' means both eyes are now seeing nothing. This can greatly improve your FPS and the game is much more playable because of it. Please check the description for more instructions.

  • @KreatorRage Not everyone is a God-tier gamer with leet skillz and infinite insight into everything, you know.

  • Calm dope is calm.

  • Oh, the calmness!

    Good job dope!

  • Relastic? The fuck is that? Some kind of new plastic?

  • Nice, I wanted to know about FoV, gj dope, much love.

  • The fov looks fine for me =),

  • nd

  • trd

  • Dope keep up the Skyrim vids, glad to see you experimenting :)

  • maybe
