The specs for this mobo say it only supports 1333 Mhz ram

and it says this about higher clocked memory -

"DDR3 1800MHz and 1600MHz is supported through Overclocking"

so... I can't use 1600 Mhz ram? unless I get 1333 Mhz ram, and OC it to 1600 mhz?

dude, if ur board is overclockable then you should be able to oc ur ram , ,but to be honest with you, you will not see any difference between 1333 and 1600, my board supports up to 2000mhz but i wouldnt put 2000mhz ram in it cuz it wont run in trpile channel because nehalmes cpus have a weak mem controller ,,, 1333 is perfect IMO

I've read some comments a bit ago about someone saying that Crysis for example benefited the most from having 1600 Mhz ram... They could be wrong tho.

I just don't want to get 1333 mhz ram, and then realize that it's too slow or something, when 1600 Mhz ram with low latency, can be picked up for fairly cheap anyways.

just google it ,1333 vs 1600 ,, you will find out what im talking about. . you can hardly see the difference between ddr2 800 and ddr3 in tri channel, , i got 1333 in my system ,, runs alrite and lets me oc aswell, those latencies make no difference , only numbers and benchmarking scores ,

Mate, my hats off to you for an awesome rig, and for someone finally having the courage to take their cpu and board beyond 4ghz...Everybody seems to be stuck at 3.8 GHz, I really dont know why! Providing there is sufficient cooling and you do it smart, these chips can hit 4.5 ghz and beyond. Great vid.
