I did try to get back into it but things like Eugene and the Kane and Matt Hardy feud were too stupid. After WWE split the roster things pretty much went to shit. And things like the Edge and Lita in ring sex scene came off as super pathetic and low brow...and I watched and the Val Venis Pee Pee chopping incident.

@lobbyhobbybobbydubob I totally agree. I think WWE became lame in 2003. Pretty much after Kane took his mask off I and my wrestling friends stopped watching WWE religiously. I did try to get back into it but things like Eugene and the Kane and Matt Hardy feud were too stupid. After WWE split the roster things pretty much went to shit. And things like the Edge and Lita in ring sex scene came off as super pathetic and low brow...and I watched and the Val Venis Pee Pee chopping incident.

@lobbyhobbybobbydubob You left off Masked Kane there, just saying...hell I never watched WWF. I was WCW back then, but I knew who Kane was cause I ended up playing WWF Warzone on my N64. I always ended up using Kane. I didn't know his gimmick or anything, but just by looking at him I didn't need to watch to know what kind of person he was portrayed as. I think that's why I liked using him and I usually end up watching his old matches on Youtube now.

Those same fans who know that the time period you're talking about was the source for most of the injuries that killed a lot of wrestlers young. Chris Benoit and Owen Hart are only 2 of the people who lost their lives to injuries from that era. I'm glad that era is dead. But, from your comment, I can tell that you don't care.

@kyuubikid7971 its got nothing do do with cena the attitude era was an exciting, where anything and almost everything could happen, great matches and the crowd was hell into i know friends who were pissed because they missed a show, this era we live in now most can predict whats going to happen the crowd barely make a noise (look at Kane's return on RAW) and the anything can happen in wrestling today is gone cause most shows are taped.

Had it continued, it would have been a lot better, John Cena would have been over big due to the fact he would have been more raw and cut edge, but they would have been fined out the ass for every word and every offensive slur.
