My 6 year old son is a huge Beatles fan and I just had to wake him up to see history. He was too tired to stay awake for Jet, but when Band On The Run came on, he was up in no time sitting next to me on the sofa watching. During the end of show when Paul sang John's part of A Day In The Life was a real treat for my son because he knew that was John's part and it was so cool to hear Paul sing it. That will be one of the most memorable moments with my son. Thank you Paul!! You're the greatest!!
I doubt that the Beatles sang "A Day in the Life" more that a couple of times on stage, and maybe they never did at all. If I remember correctly they were almost entirely a studio band by the time Sgt. Pepper came out. They were by then making records that would have been hard to recreate outside the studio.

What a gift to see this performance on free-TV. If only other musical guest were half as good and entertaining....

Does McCartney include it in his shows now?

Paul Rudd was a creepy little douche in this. He might as well have got on his knees and pleasured Paul McCartney.

as much as i love A Day In The Life, Strawberry Fields Forever may have been better, cuz that song was dear to his heart

@Msemospongebob agree. a day in the life is probably a better song...but strawberry fields just has john lennon written all over it. both brilliant.
