Absolutely awesome, went to see this concert amongst many others. Married with 3 kids now, makes no matter what orientation you are, the songs speak for themselves.
Vince is a synth wizard. His groups broke tons of ground but I feel with Erasure he seems more comfortable and making music for himself and ultimately for his generation. That said I prefer Speak and Spell and Upstairs at Eric's myself
In the 80s and current id listen to Erasure, Alphaville, Soft Cell, Divine, Big Pig, Sly Fox, Boomtown Rats, Thompson Twins, The Cure, Gary Neuman, Peter Schilling, etc. My older bro was a "WAVER" and hed bring over some interesting women, with pink or purple hair, mohawks, sides shaven, etc. They just werent your "status quo", but cool. Good music. So is rock, hard rock, Metal, Oldies, and RnB, urban country. Not queer, levis n ocean pacific, jock type.
@Rourkeangel I was at the concert at the docklands arena back in 87 and the ground shook, as did the feeble structure we were on, as everyone was dancing, fantastic!
Why does everyone always have to bring up ..gay this and straight that...just listen to the music and let it speak for itself. This music is brilliant! NOTHING today will EVER touch it.
the only way is up, but erasure were absolutely awesome. their Pop 20 was fantastic.
Someoone likened them to the Pet Shop Boys..omg, Erasure has a magical musical legacy that will live onwards and forever. Such a diverse and unique quaiity.
@chupymetal I agree with you there. I think it doesn't matter that Andy is gay, his voice and words are both powerful. The fact that Vince is a great musician only makes them better. That's what I love so much about music, it's universal.
thank you priscilla for posting this video....excellent!!! reminds me of the first time i saw them opening for duran duran in 1985! excellent version of the song.

Excellent! They sound just like on the record, and the quality of the backing vocals help so much to achieve that sound.
