  • Very nice!! I'm a fellow lover of the Gulf scheme. Turned out real nice on your XS!

I can't seem to post links, but if you search for "1975 CB550 Gulf test run" you'll find mine. Cheers

  • Just wondering what tank you have on there. Is that also from the Ducati?

  • love the bike, 400 honda tank looks great!

  • Nom Plates ,way to to use your constitutional right to travel.love the onboard view ,Thanks

  • about how fast will this thing get up too?

  • @jamiedarrens its geared to go about 120 @ 7500 rpm with a stock 650 motor 34mm round slides a front fairing and a dry weight of 395. it takes a while to get there but with a 750 kit and a web camshaft it could easily pull 140 @ 9000rpm

  • I'm reall interested in your tail section and brake light.Did that come as a kit or did you buy them both seprate and if so where?

  • @eamaral253 The tail section is a cutlass cafe seat from airtech. the rear mudguard is a fron fender from an XR 250 cut down and painted flat black. The tail light is a "Trucklite LED 4" round tail/turn/stop" the light and the bracket for it can be found at a big truck parts store. I am a truck driver and I use what I see. I hope this helps!

  • Hi dude! I've been following your builds. The cafe racer is amazing.

Would you tell me how did you clean de motor of the cx? Is it necessary to disassembly it or it can be done without it?

I am building a xs 650 that supose to be a cafe, but I think I'm too tall for it. I am giving a brit look though

    Thank you in advance!

  • the cx's engine was painted industrial metallic silver, I couldnt get the aluminum to shine up with acid and polish so i hit it with a rattlecan. I didnt disassemble it , I dropped the motor out and taped up the valve covers. you probably dont need to pull the motor tho, thanks for the interest!

  • VERY NICE!!!!!

  • Awesome!.. Great work and well expressed as a Cafe Racer. The theme works. When I was tearing down to do the bobber thing, I noticed it was well suited for Cafe building.

Bad Ass Dude! Thanx for sharing and Good riding to you.
