C-beasts sucked when Synchros came out, well, they still were decent, but now with Exceed (xyz), they're gonna be awesome.

Abundance = 2XYZ-monsters that can attack your opponent directly or an OTK :D

Skyscraper only increases your attack if the opponents monster has higher attack and since emerald was in def with 2000def plus emerald only has 200atk stratos does not get a power boost.
