  • Hello there I have just started watching your videos I am amazed about how long your hair is. I want my hair to be long I am natural just started and I cannot wait to see my hair grow. Thank you

  • Thank you! I am going to try this product. I am brand new to natural hair, and I have been trying to find something to define my curls, but still allow me to have some bounce and movement. I'll let you know how it works for me. :-)

  • I loved this! I am so excited about trying Kinky Curly now!!

  • Thanks for sharing ! Enjoy your weekend,God bless.

  • Great review! You mentioned growing your hair out longer. Do you think that the Kinky Curly ingredients are healthy for your hair and will promote hair growth?

  • My hair is natural but I hardly ever wear my hair in its natural, kinky state. I have always had it blown out and worn straight (basically it looks like I still have a relaxer). When wet, parts of it are really curly and ends are super straight. I think it is because of the heat. That was a long build up to say, do I have to cut my hair to eliminate the straight ends in order to use this product or will the custard curl my hair? Secondly, would it eventually curl my hair with frequent use.

  • Hey Sis,

I truly enjoy watching your videos and find them very informative. I have been using Hair rules products and I like them but upon your reviews and results, I have ordered the Kinky Curly products. I am looking forward to comparing my wash and go results. Have you tried the Hair Rules products?

    Danielle

  • I just bought the kinky kurly custard, spritz & shampoo. I get build up after 2 days of use. Is it perhaps, I'm using to much of it at 1 time?

Perhaps, I'll try it again for another week.

  • ok I have a question, i typicall use MJ products i purchase KC products over the weekend to experiement but i am on the fence about using the custard because gels don't take well on my hair, have u tried and MJ products what are your thoughts? I love ur videos!!!

  • Oh! Additionally! Your hair looked great for the first trial and error experiment with Kinky Curly. I purchased it myself and will be trying it for the first time and as always your tutorials is great help :)

  • I'm glad to see that I am not the only one that sleeps with a shower cap at times. I always sleep with a shower cap the night before I do my weekly wash and condition to make it easier to detangle since it tends to dry by the end of the week.

  • I really like this video. It's one of my favorites from you. You can finally see your real personality shine through! I love it!

  • Question, do u braid ur hair before or after applying KKC?

  • Perms make ur hair easier to manage. GO PERMS!!

  • Ur hair is amazing. Ur the best!!!!

  • LOL. I love the husband remark. My boyfriend is usually waiting for me, so I can't wait to see how this turns out.

  • love this song!! is this the brand new heavys?

  • You did a great job and you didn't use a ton - wow - it looks great. So beautiful you were. I'm sure your hubby was loving your hair.

  • You look great. Finally, I have found someone who has the same hair type as me...I too use KCCC, and Knot Today. (life Saver)

  • Beautiful Sista...beautiful hair! Thanks for posting, will try Kinky Curly to see how it works on my shorter, kinkier hair.

  • so nice to see a beautiful, smart black women on here.thanx so much for taking soo..much of your time to educate other black women who want to go natural:-)

  • This product didn't work for my hair the same way as yours. But your thorough review make me want to try it again when my hair is longer. Thank you for your review and I am happy this product has worked for you

  • Hiii

I'm from Portugal and I love your videos *_*

    thank youuu

  • I wish I had this when i first went natural 7years ago. Really liking your videos. I am going to give the kinky curly custard another shot.

  • you're so fit! you're like inspiration for me to keep working out. i wanna look like you when i grow up lol :)

  • do you use a satin scarf? does a plastic shower cap work better than a satin scarf or bonnet?

  • Wow! After watching this video and seeing your lovely hair, I am so inspired! Thank you for this =]

  • Wow! After watching this video and seeing your lovely hair, I am so inspired! Thank you for this =]

  • I absolutely Love You. I think we have the same hair type I really need more help personally. Your videos are all mixed in I need to start from the beginning so I can get the true results I desire. My desire hair length is to my waist, right now its on my back bone. Please if we can talk at least 20 minutes on day let me know if thats ok with you. Thanks.

  • how long was your hair braided before that ?

  • Thanks for sharing this! Your hair looks great and very healthy!

  • You look like Stacey Dash :)

  • It has never been that long since (I had a LOT of hair as a kid - my mom had four heads of hair to do, all girls, so she though a perm would help her out. Prior to that it was hot-combing to straighten.) I can hardly wait for the results. My last perm was Feb 2010 and I like the curl in my new growth but am not yet ready for the big chop. It's kinky twists time! - Hope (end)

  • I am loving all the information I have discovered on YouTube about going natural. At first it was a matter of economy; now I am looking forward to the process and the results. I recall how my first french perm when I was a kid broke my hair off - that was back in the late 70's in Houston. (Hope, part 1)

  • Still....yet another professional and helpful video. Thank you so much!!!!

  • GREAT JOB !!!!!!

    be blessed

  • Love the results. LOVE the arms...LOL!

  • you are too cute ! love your hair !

  • did you get a white residue??? It looks great, but isn't super shiny. How long did this style last and do you oil your scalp?

  • real nice work

  • Hey Kimmay, I really enjoy your videos. I just wanted to know if you have your hair cut in a certain way, or is this how your hair naturally falls?

  • I found my hair twin..LOL..I really want to try the Kinky Curly once my hair is long enough..Lovely hair

  • Simply Gorgeous!!!!!!!

  • woooooooow yur eyes are grey

    ur very pretty

  • AHHH! I LOOOVEEE YOUR VIDEOS! i'm only 15 y.o but i've been struggling with my hair for years. Thank you thank you thank you, for every single for every sinlge video you've made.

  • OK!! I am dumb founded at how good your hair looks... A couple of quick questions..what does "transitioning" mean?? I have been using relaxers for about 9 yrs and only get 3-4 a year... Will this product still work for my hair?? I want to go natural but I cannot bring myself to cut my hair and start over... I have worked hard for my hair to get to the length its at (a little bit passed shoulders)...so what should I do?? Great Vid... o and FYI my hair when its wet is a natural wavy...

  • @hopeizbeauty

"Transitioning" is in between process of going natural from relaxed hair. It is when you stop chemical relaxers & allow you natural texture to grow out.

Transitioners have two hair textures on their head to care for.

Relaxers are PERMANENT. There is no other way to go natural other than allow your hair to grow out all over again. Some people transition for a long time, others "big chop" off their hair.

    It is your choice. :o)

  • @hopeizbeauty

Your hair texture is wavy when wet because the relaxers may not have broken all of your disulphide bonds (bonds give your hair its shape) But that wave pattern is not likely to be your natural, non-chemically treated texture.

You'll never know your natural texture until it has grown out a few inches.

p.s. Thanks for the compliments. :o) It has taken me *years* to learn to care for my hair. Fortunately, with Youtube, it won't take others that long!

  • Thank You for the response... I have spent the last two hours watching a lot of your videos... OMG.. The quality of the videos are past amazing... I cannot believe you post videos like this for people to watch online...we are seriously privileged...

  • As far as my hair goes... My new growth grows in pretty fast after a relaxer and I think if I work hard I can transition my hair but that will take serious dedication in my opinion... So I will try the Kinky Curl product and see where I end up..Thanks again...

  • @hopeizbeauty

Thanks for the appreciation. It really means a lot. I've put *thousands* of hours of my time into Youtube over the last 11 months--almost a year!

I should caution you that the Kinky Curly most likely will NOT work on your relaxed hair. It is designed to *freeze* your curl pattern in place, it does not create curls!

This is very important to know. I recommend that you borrow a sample from a friend. Or buy the smallest container available. Just trying to save you $!

  • Thank You... I thought about that after I posted the reply... I guess I will have to wait until my hair grows out to try the Kinky Curly.. Thanks..Talk to you soon....

  • OMGOSH! How come am sooo late discovering you?

  • I luv ur hair too cute!! I'm going to have to keep working with this gel it seems to always make my curls crunchy.. Did anybody else experience crunchy curls??

  • Love the video. I think the Kinky Curly is great on longer hair. Not so great on shorter TWA's. I used it when I was transitioning and it was great. Once I did the big chop, it left my hair dry. So that's just someting to let people know.

  • Loved it, I had a question about washing it out, and you answered it! thanks!!

  • Like the tutorial. Do you think this will work on shorter natural hair.I have been natural for nearly a year now. Thanks for the tutorials.

  • @hgunura

It will probably work best on hair that has grown out a few inches, I think.

Once it has grown out 2-3 inches you can begin to see a curl pattern in your hair (if it has one).

Hope that helps! (if anyone else knows from personal experience, please chime in!)

  • Thank!!! My hair is about 4.5 inches now (i went for big chop in April last year) I have ordered the Knot Today and the KCCC and will let you know how I get on. Once again your tutorials are awesome and inspiring to stay natural. ;-)

  • Bravo!!!! All of the tutorials are helping me with my natural journey. I want to thank you for your videos, your tips and most of all your voice.

I could follow along with all of your videos and you edit your videos very well. Be blessed and keep posting!!!!

  • It never works for me. It stays curly for a couple hours then draws up. Then again I never bought the knot today conditioner.

    I like the hat.

  • OMG! you are so adorable and you hair is really beautiful also like the other comment said could you please do a video also about your workout because I have been going to the gym for 8 months and Im not even anywhere close to what you look like, and I will be trying the kinky curly products and techniques that you used on your hair. Can't wait until your next video!!!!!

  • Thanks for the tips....Do you think I could use my diffuser to dry the crown of my hair and not mess up the results? It's just too cold for wet hair. (smile)

  • I use these products and like the fact that it is so time efficient ! I will try the plastic bag at night instead of a satin cap.

  • Nice!

  • Your hair is really, really a poster for the product. How would you rate your hair 4a, 4b or 3b? My hair type is 4a and 4b, with possibly some 4c in spots. Transitioning since last March and with the help of FreeWorshipFree and some of the other sistuhs, I am coming along.

What about the hats? Can you shae the name? Have not done the BC; I am using alot of headwraps and hats, which seems to be working right now.

    Keep on keepin' on, Sis.

  • Please do a video on your workout routine.

  • nevermind your married sorry

  • wow your the best call me babe

  • youre a beautiful being and i really needed this. you know. cuz the media doesnt promote hairstyles for african women

  • wow you are marred!? right on!

  • where in the hell is your workout plan? your arms, your body is perfect! Tone, petite, and not stick thin!

  • I agree, she need to do a tutorial on her workouts.

  • I'm trying to sell my KCCC set b/c it DOES NOT work on 4C hair at all it just sits on there and if you mix it with anything it turns white. Irregardless it just sits on the hair with little to no curl I posted a video on my KCCC results maybe I will do another one b/c this is not for all hair types!

  • I tried KCCC earlier and did not like it. As a matter fact, I just sold it. Had I watched this vid, I probably would have sold it. Thanks. You are really good at what you do.

  • Can you recommend the person you got the crochet wrap from? Please keep up this video because they are so inspiring! I am trying to learn to love the texture of my natural hair and not be a slave to heat straitened hair.

  • YOUR HAIR LOOKS GREAT, DREAM ON DREAMER playing in the background is a great compliment. thanks

  • Thank you, 1prettysoul. :-)

I agree, sometimes it is the amount used and what you've done to your hair the day (sometimes days) before applying a product.

  • Great vid, thank you for effort into your vids for us. Do you sleep in a plastic ca for moisture every night or just once in a while?

  • Hi Weewinkle7!

Thanks for the compliments. To answer your question, I sometimes sleep with a plastic cap to maintain moisture. Particularly if my hair is still wet from washing or rinsing & I don't want it to dry before braiding. I am exploring the idea of wearing it more often. But I'm doing my research on it first! Some ladies only wear it on their ends (like a ponytail with a baggie on top to protect their ends) I will certainly let you ladies know! peace, kimmay.

  • Hi Kimmay! I just wanted to tell you that you are may ABSOLUTE FAVORITE on youtube!! I LOVE all of your videos!! Thank you so much for doing what you do :).

  • Hi Kimmay, I just wanted to say that I am in nursing school persueing my RN degree, and I do not have time for you-tube anymore but when I see that I have a video from you, I put studying on pause because I REALLY enjoy your vids and hair. You are sooo classy and beautiful and you can tell you put a HUGE amount of work into your videos and it shows. Okay now back to the books I go!!!

  • Hi Aretha32 !

lol. Girl do your school work first!! :-) But, really, thank you. It means a lot to me to hear you enjoy my vids that much. Back to those books, now! :-D peace, kimmay.

  • I love your hair and your vids. I am envious of your thickness and length so going to try and change some things about my hair care regimen. I have been natural for 3.5 years and I do NOT have this length or thickness YET. Not sure what I am doing or not doing but going to keep on keepin on.

  • Hi naturaldiva71!

I understand because I've been there...MANY times. I've only just recently learned the "secrets" to retaining hair length--the funny thing is they're not secrets, just simple maintenance. Your hair is ALWAYS growing. The question is, what happens to it. The key to length is protecting the ends. Moisture. I can't stress it enough. But I will cover this subject matter in an upcoming vid. Hang in there. If I can do it, you can to. No magic bottles! lol. peace, kimmay.

  • Fabulous vid! Love your results... I'll have to give this a try.

  • Great vid! Now i really wanna try the KCCC. I have a bit coarser hair than you do, so i dont know how it will work out for me

  • Luv the vidoes and thanks for taking the time to make them. I have seen some reviews of the KCCC but this review made me want to go to the store and try it! Your hair looks so nice. Please let us know what process you use to grow your hair. I have been natural for almost 2 years and It seems like my hair has been stuck at the same length for a while. I'm curious to know what mistakes you might have made with your natural hair in the early years. Thanks Again!
