  • This is my theme song :D

  • Why can't I find this version on iTunes?

  • This is so creepy, so wonderful, so... epic.

    Just like the film itself.

  • I got something in my eye now :`(

  • i love this song scary but beautiful its the most beautiful song in the history of beautiful songs i sure wish i can record this on my phone every time i record a song on my phone it goes all static like an old recorder in water.

  • fuck whoever disliked this!

  • im one of the only people among my friends who thinks this is beautiful and soothing, and not creepy haha

  • @ksim43, I know science and psychology. Lots of things naturally occur and make patterns. A correlation between a song and wind might not be science, but the complex patterns we see do tell us something about ourselves. It's good to be sensitive and discover your feelings and not just science. We look at the clouds and see things, why? Because we make complex things into patterns that relate to us. Pay attention to your feelings and you might learn more about yourself.

  • @pfewell Certainly and you have made also made a different point than the OP. His was an to do anecdotal subjective connection to wind. You are making a point on how music can make someone feel. Those are two different points.

  • @ElmoRulez1000, don't let the negative people win. There might not be a correlation between the wind blowing and this song, but there most certainly is a relation between this song, what you feel, and what you notice. Sensitive people need to pay attention to their feelings. They can tell us something. There are tons of things going on, but what you notice is for a reason. It sets a stage in your mind feel, to remember, reflect, and put things together, and make more sense out of life.

  • @pfewell Mine was not a negative point. It was a neutral point on how wind occurs. A song does not make wind blow. Again, the point you are making is different that what the OP said. Nor is his attempt to connect unrelated elements any more "sensitive" than someone who would dispute that point. That is a over-reaching assumption.

  • I love this moive :3 Beautiful, I love piano version of this

  • I have hummed this to my little boys while I rock them...now my oldest son is 8 and as I am playing it he told me he remembers me singing it :) So hauntingly beautiful...

  • This is one of the most beautiful Lullabys i have ever heard, everytime i hear it it makes me want to cry because of the movie and im not the crying over movie or songs type of person

  • (-^.^)-

  • For me it speaks about creation, departure of the children of men from its roots(tree of life),the wail of a mother Sophia when she sees the departure from love in the world and her children swayed away and worn down by entropy.

  • i keep end up humming this tune and when i do outside, the wind starts to pick up. I don't know why the wind and trees start to blow about... It's very strange

  • @ElmoRulez1000 Your humming this song has no correlation to the wind. Nothing but coincidence.

  • @ElmoRulez1000 maybe Gaia is speaking to you

  • i keep humming this to myself... and when i do its very strange but the wind starts to pick up... its strange.

  • @ElmoRulez1000 "There are three forces that cause the wind to move as it does, working together at the same time: 1) pressure gradient force (equalizes pressure differences(; the Coriolis force (affects the direction of wind flow); and friction--the surface of the earth is rough and not only slows wind down but also causes diverging winds from highs and converging winds near lows."

    h t t p : / /srh.noaa.gov/jetstream//synoptic/wind.htm

So it's not strange. It's science.

  • @ksim43 ...and you know, there are some phenomina that science can't explain... some things are not explained... the rest must just be ment to stay a mystery......don't even try to say that there aren't things out there that are undiscovered, or discovered- but not explained with science-...because why would we still need scientists to preform experiments or still teach science classes in schools?

  • @SweetBloodyBlackRose Very true. However, wind is not one of them to the extent that a song in an individual's mind creates the three forces mentioned above.

  • this has got to be the most beautiful lullaby ive ever heard. I loved the movie too, got to be the best movie with reality mixed with a perfect fantasy

  • Not gonna lie, this song scares the shit out of me.

  • One princess had a dream. find a world abowe hers home and see the sun shine. when she wend out from the kingdom of night the sun was blinded her.

  • หลอน

  • My niece Henley was born yesterday and when they handed her to me she was crying so loud and wiggling in my arms. I was in a rocking chair and started humming this song to her and she instantly calmed down and stared up at me. Granted, I know she can only see shadows and shapes, being a newborn and all but as I hummed she instantly calmed down and started up at me. When she fell asleep I felt so happy.

  • Is it wierd to say that I definitley will hum this to any child? Or for anyone/anything who needs to be calmed down? Like a dog - I would definitley hum this to calm a dog.

  • creepy good

  • I fell asleep to this once and had the most bizarre dream. I loved every moment of it. I woke up to this too..

  • I would love to see this movie.

  • Probably the most heart-breaking thing I've ever heard...

  • It makes me think of the kind of song that mother would hum to her child, rocking them back and forth during wartime, as the alarms sounded and the bombs decimated the city surrounding them.

  • @thatcosplaykid the movie is actually about yhe time of war ish :/

  • @thatcosplaykid Oh, may there never be such a day to experience for any child or mother or anyone really...

  • @thatcosplaykid thats an awsome discription

  • I've learned to hum most of this song, so I hum along to it and hum it all the time now :) I LOVE this melody!

  • Your first experience was listening to your mother's heart beat.

  • @EmoStrawberry666

  • @TheLionsAreComing Best movie I've ever seen.

  • So sad :( This dong makes me want to cry, but it fits the movie perfectly :)

  • I feel like i have just woken up and i'm in a dream. everything is dark and gothic looking. I feel like this song is being sang to me it's so....mesmorizing. Like i should be being led somewhere

  • Even the lullaby makes me cry my eyes off!

  • I CRIED SO HARD AT THE END OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!! OH MY GOD, I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING SADDER IN CINEMA!!!!!!!!!

  • The only movie where depending on the type of person you are, it'll either have a happy ending or a sad one. Brilliant.

  • :O this is where that song is from :O :O :O

(look up Ciel Lullaby for what im talking about)

Copy and paste it in the seach bar: Ciel Lullaby

    is this a good movie?

  • @sailorfunnygirl11 What? Is that even a question? That is an AWESOME movie. It's a must watch. :D

  • i learned so many Spanish words from this movieXD

  • Gives me the chills every time..

  • @jordeyyy123 I knew it was the beginning. I have watched the movie over and over. So I know of course. But her death was sad.

  • You dislikes can't handle the truth!

  • Ofelia's death was a very sad part of this movie. You can thumgs up or not. This song is a calm playing of a person and instruments. It makes you think about what have done. Or something that is sad that you are dissapointed about or regreting it. I cry listening and knowing there are bad things out there that can not change.... I really do, but this song is very nice.....

  • @Adehorselvr Her death was only the beginning. It was all a test. She saved an innocent life and was returned to her kingdom as the lost princess. In the end, she was with her mother and her father where she belonged.

  • @jordyyy123 Haha, nope. It was all in her imagination. The movie (my interpretation, anyway) was about the fantasies that children invent to escape from the horrific tragedies around them.

  • @Elusieum Yes, that is how del Toro explained the movie. Ofelia's fantasies in her human life were a means of escaping via her mind. Whether it was all a made-up dream or if it was indeed Ofelia's reality was left up to the viewer. There is no right or wrong interpretation.

  • @jordyyy123 I really like that end. I prefer that end.

  • opn another utube page then type in rainy blood play dis at da same tyme

  • i love the movieXD

  • I am wondering what were these 12 people thinking when they clicked dislike.

  • @connflita Can't accept the sad truth that the world has sad things?

  • @ELVIStheDotA what's that gotta do with the dislikes?

  • so sick of people mentioning rainy mood and being called geniuses..omf..

  • @jaretthale78 dude. I KNOW. sh*t is everywhere man, I'm even starting to see it on dubstep vids! it's just...RAIN!!?! -__- and yes, it sounds good with certain tracks..but NO you are not stupendously f*cking intelligent because you suggested it. >:O

  • Sigh.....so beautiful!

  • *sniff* *sniff*

  • The rain, and this, powerful, amazing, mystical, a labyrinth of thought.

  • I wonder if anyone can not enjoy this movie

  • I want to learn how to play it or something

  • Oh thanks rafat125 for spoiling the ending for me. Ass.

Great song though. I hum this to myself all the time in a very not creepy way as I walk past ppl. Idk why but I get the strangest looks.

  • A beautiful soundtrack for a beautiful picture. Del Toro is a true artist.

  • This track gives me sum chills for no reason :0

  • Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite movie. I dont speak spanish so i had to read tthe subtitles for the whole movie, but i still love it.

  • iv heard this song before but i dont know where O.o

  • This song actually makes me a tad nervous... like it's trying to assure me that everything's okay when it's really not. It just sounds really sad and like the singer is brokenhearted but trying to keep it together... to me, at least. Haha~

  • @sOShayOs Well... Pan inspired the word "Panic", apparently, in myth, The God Pan's presence would instill nervousness, anxiety, fear, and panic, his aura alone frightened people, let alone his half beast appearance... which is a shame. All he wanted was for someone to love him.

  • @freecodyhummings No, actually, in the Titian wars, he let out a sound that was pure panic, and scared a majority of [bad] minions away. He was actually a friendly god, God of the Wild, and he was a satyr, although you probably know that already. :D

  • @sOShayOs i know exactly what you mean. before the movie even started, this song played and i got a feeling of dread.

  • @sOShayOs It makes me want to comfort the person singing it, rather than making me feel comforted.

  • @sOShayOs You translated this beautiful lullaby and sad humming into words! What you wrote is so beautiful, sad and true.

  • I was brought to this video by a comment on a game of thrones video because I do remember having watched this movie but not very clearly, it took all of 5 seconds for me to start crying after remembering the final scene.

  • Hey everyone who has On Demand:

This movie is in the free movies section in spanish with english subtitles

    ITS SO GOOD!!!!

  • This lullaby is sooo comforting! Makes me feel like everythings gonna be okay when im feeling down :)

  • this shit slaps

  • GREAT film i'm holding the dvd now just about to watch it

  • By far one of the best movies I've seen this song is awe inspiring.... did anyone notice how ophelia's tasks related marcedes the retrieval of the key and such, killing a man who is all seeing

  • @slowpobro You are right, I didn't notice it myself, but it is indeed outstanding...

  • never had a fav movie until i saw this one, i could watch it over and over... really relates to my childhood in a way

  • @silvermist905 the child died at the last scene! u cant hold ur tears watching the end scene!

  • Beautiful movie, beautiful theme song.

  • This is the second saddest and most beautiful song without lyrics I heard, behind Aerith's theme from final fantasy VII they are both wonderful songs

  • @leauptei000 omg, I sooo totally agree on that, such a good taste you have! MY GOD! I totally believe that...love aerith theme... and this song...obviously!

  • for some reason i was humming with the song i LOVE IT

  • this is a beautiful song

  • Man i cant stop humming this

  • This is an amazing theme from an amazing movie. It touches sensible strings in the heart, for which the words cannot come out...

It reminds me of the feelings I felt with Sarabande from the movie Barry Lyndon, the scene of the boy.

  • I just randomly looked this up again and it's still so eerily beautiful!! I will need to watch this again sometime. :)

  • @rafat125: Agreed, I couldn't either no matter how much I tried. Every time I hear this song, I can't help but get a little lump in my throat. It's a hauntingly beautiful song and the movie is brilliant. A must watch.

  • I played cello for six years and quit last year. Hearing this again makes me regret it. I'm off to go buy new strings and dust off my cello.

  • @chelly2194 Then do it!

  • @chelly2194 Yeah as soon as I heard this I instantly wanted to play it on my cello.

  • beautiful

  • the first time i watched this movie, i didnt wanted to returned it n_n so i bought it o.O and i had to pay the extra days i kept it with me -.-

    worth it. :D

  • -w- You posted this on my 13th birthday~

  • @benquaidandsmeagol I wouldn't call the Spanish civil war "political turmoil". It is the murdering of hope.

  • Capitán Vidal: Tell my son the time that his father died. Tell him...

Mercedes: No. He won't even know your name.

  • @tantillumomnia Mercedes: You wont be the first pig I've gutted. *cheek slice*

  • Wow! That's beautiful!

  • Very sad and messed up movie...I watched it with my friend and for some reason it scared me more than any horror movie could,in an unusual way

  • @MissxTika i felt the same way when i saw it

  • WHO THE @!#(* DISLIKED THIS

  • The song is pretty. I have never seen the movie, and I might sometime. But I played it with the Rainymood that sepehsareskani said to do and it makes it different and cool, I think. I will try Rainymood with more things now. Thank you sepehsareskani. :)
