I was horrible at drawing, I mean really bad, if a normal person would get 20 on a scale 1-100, I was below -100.. ok? but once I started, and it all comes down to your interest, if you're really interested in something, you push yourself forward and just get it done.. and voila! after a couple of drawings you can actually see the progress! so yes, everybody can draw!
can anyone please tell me what type of paper comic artists use and
like what i'm saying is that my ink slightly smears over time. but i notice that professional comic artists don't would someone please tell me what type of ink that they use.
Hi jim lee am new at this ink drawing but one thing i want to no how do u clean the ink out of your brush when you fines use it? that the qustion i want to no
it would be great if jim lee makes more videos of him talking while drawing. more drawing, more talking. i love it more this way. AWESOME video! go jim!!!
i draw and i think its skill and practice , and also some studies , like for example study the human body the way it looks on a certain positiions ,the muscles, and stuff like that ,and i used to anly draw anime, but i went further trying to draw real human ppl and now drawing anime is like nothin to me ,u see its like taking it to the next level,so the level u were b4 in becomes easier
I'm a would be comicbook artist and love pencilling my work ad Jim Lee has been my greatest idols in terms of style and realism ofcourse my style is a little cartoony.
yeah...i'm an OK artist when I copy other people's styles, whereas when I do original compositions/ characters, my work tends to look more refined in the final result.
yeah i know i'm exactly the same. i'l give u 2 tips, 1) any art even copied art improves your skills. 2) try to know exactly what you are going to draw in your head before you start
years of practice + have the gift + technique. ive been drawing/painting basically been involved in art of all forms for 20+ years and Im not even close to being as good as jim lee. So thats where I tried to find my own style. Make your flaws work for you, I think they have for me...but Ive been wrong once or twice.
I think to be able to do this you need a combination of skill and practice over years. Skill is more of a factor though. I don't know, thats what I think.
The cameraman was on the wrong side! My neck started paining.

I completely agree, no matter how good I get at inking I would never risk losing such a great piece. I'd probably end up digital inking it.

There is no "gift" you have to have, there is only effective practice, which forms your techniques.
