Definately one of the best playmakers of all time. Years back I remember him always having between 70-80 assists each year and being among the top 10 point producers just from assists. And he would end the season with like 14 goals at most and still rack up close to 90 points. Don't got many players these days that can do what oates did. Joe thorton reminds me of adam oates alittle.
