  • did anyone else smile when you started hearing stings stuff come on. such an epic entrance! so nostalgic! STINGER!!

  • 07:17

i just love the make up!!!

  • oh fuck sake where r u kingmula2

  • sad eyes :( 4:13

  • what is this WCW?

  • @MrSuRaJ931 please tell me you are being sarcastic

  • When he walked out at first i just kept thinking, "The Joker!!"

  • 01:14 Wait... Did he just say New World Order?

  • Sting is such a beast

  • only taker has a better entrance then sting they have to met icon v icon streak v career

  • @ryanwhite835 that would be EPIC!

  • i miss wwf and wcw

  • Rock vs. Cena nothin'... There has been NO bigger match in wrestling history than this. Too bad it ended up being such a clusterfuck.

  • @CoryTheRaven Yeah. WCW in it's finest hour, decides to shoot itself in the foot. Thanks to Hogan's ego and the idiots in WCW creative, this was the begining of the end for WCW.

  • @sgauden02 No, giving away hogan/goldberg free on TV was the start of the end. Not this.

  • @Kozzy06 Well that was definately a stupid idea to. That cost WCW HUGE PPV seller. But Hogan VS Sting at Starrcade 97 was the called the BIGGEST MATCH IN HISTORY and is what Starcade 97 the most watched ppv of the year (maybe several years), and WCW blew it. After Starrcade, the Wolfpack and Goldberg brought the stock back up a little bit, but Goldberg's streak went on too long and WCW basically GAVE Hogan VS Goldberg away. But in my opinion, Starrcade 97 was the begining of the end for WCW.

  • @sgauden02 i disagree i think the "finger poke of doom" was the beginning of the end

  • @gannon1op Well that was definately a terrible moment for WCW to, but this was WCW's finest hour. "The Biggest Match In History", and suddenly they decide to shoot themselves in the foot.

  • hogan lookslike shit in his head ....reminded me of heihachi mishima from tekken

  • Brandon Lee Wannabe

  • Day 4, Low Water, moderate food, still looking for Kingmulas comment.

  • Wow I miss this gimmick alot and then 2nd place is the Joker gimmick bit thats a big change from this to that

  • ._. Hulk was stalling.

  • one of the best entrances in many years.... I loved this build up,, ONE YEAR build up, was awesome! Shame Sting isn't like this anymore, when he was the silent sting, he was the BOMB!

  • @1981mmichael Totally agree.

  • its fake

  • sting is not human like the undertaker but does'n matter for hulk hogan he just kick their asses!

  • Hulk Hogan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • these 2 in WCW- epic

these 2 in TNA - Yawn...

  • @BristolSpotterHD

Hey now. Sting can still go. At least Sting ain't a self-centered and ego-maniacle politician.

  • This could have been one of the all time coolest matches if the finish wasn't so fucked.

  • @zackvanhalen Yeah. I think we have Hogan's pride to blame for that.

  • Awesome entrance for Sting and it was one of the biggest matches in wrestling.

  • It's funny cuz sting used to be a goth/non talking and non smiling person and now he the crazy joker talking smiling guy... Lolz what happen?!?! I love sting tho..

  • Vodoo Child ~

  • How is this entertaining. UFC FTW

  • Comment removed

  • @UNIXSOLJA

By the way...it's funny that you ask "how is this entertaining?" about wrestling when tons of people (wrestling fans, non-wrestling fans, and just the general public alike) ask the same thing about mixed martial arts. People go as far as to say that mixed martial arts is uncivilized, primitive, and as barbaric as the gladiator fights from ancient Rome which is way worse than what people say about wrestling. And I'm a UFC fan, by the way.

  • @DeadmanInc336 Well most people agree that a sport has a purpose and that's to win in some fashion over the other team or opponent. This however is not a competition of any kind or a test of each others skills. Not to say anyone can do this... But its not a sport and it's not wrestling. It's also make things like mma have a bad image as morons group it all together. I watched this untill i found it was phony at age 10! 21 now and feel the same way about it.

  • @UNIXSOLJA

But that's the thing, mate. Pro-wrestling isn't a sport. It's entertainment. It's no different from a movie or a TV show. Well...American pro-wrestling anyways. That's what separates it from pro-wrestling in Japan and Mexico. Pro-wrestling in America focuses more on the theatrics and the entertainment aspect while pro-wrestling in Mexico and Japan focus more on the actual physical aspect and try to make it look a little more competitive.

  • @UNIXSOLJA

Even as a kid, I always knew it wasn't real. With the exception of certain bumps and some pretty serious injuries caused by a miscalculation or somebody screwing up.

  • this sting character makes me have a wrestlegasm

  • I remember watching this live, seems like a lifetime ago now, I was thirteen at the time and I was a huge fan of Sting but this match made me an even bigger fan.

That entrance, the cold expression, the way he handled himself in the ring, Steve Borden had that gimmick down pact and for me personally there hasn't been a cooler gimmick in all of pro wrestling before or since.

I'd love to see the Stinger sign a one match deal with WWE so we can all see him face Undertaker at WM before they retire

  • @sethcopeland yeah!! what you said! yeah!!

  • meu pe da duendo filho da pulta quem acha acha que meu pe da duemdo

    da um joinha

  • Epic Sting entrance

  • @hooligandelchelsea and epic gimmick ... joker's one is cool ... but it makes sting a clown ... and a legend like sting deserves other things ...

  • Thumbs up if you think sting is just a painted randy Norton :*)

  • I find it funny how Soldberg getss all the credit of being the face of the WCW that stood against the NWO. Sting was the reason the NWo was over. SOldberg sucked. Sting got the NWO over

  • @TheHuntervalentyne lol the NWO got Sting over.

  • This was by far the most awesome thing I ever saw on PPV as a kid. The entire night was building up to this one moment.... Sting entering the arena.

  • Who would pay to see Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, and Dolph Ziggler vs Sting in a 3 on 1 handicap match? I would since they got the advantage and also could handle the Icon with no problem.

  • @21richkid

No shit, Sherlock. It's 3-on-1, genius. Of course it would be a walk in the park.

By the way...nobody gives a shit about Wade Barret, Jack Swagger, and Dolph Ziggler. Nobody ever has and nobody ever really will. But everybody loves and respects Sting.

  • 240p We Meet Again

  • i would love to see stin vs undertaker !

  • i don't know, hogan and hendrix.... that doesn't match

  • Comment removed

  • we need more dark characters like sting back then

  • I like sting entrance it tells a story

  • when i was young i loved to play wcw with sting on my n64 :D

  • I hated this match Hogan won this shit outright but since Sting got sooooo built up he had to win Hollywood will always rule!

  • this was the time when wrestling was exciting

  • This marked the decline of WCW. All the build up making sting look almost unbeatable and it ends with Bret Hart saying Nick Patrick counted fast and he didnt. Sting had to win cleanly but Hogan's bloated ego wouldnt allow it . Rip Dubbya See Dubbya

  • 2 legends of wrestling that are irreplaceable

  • never be another wrestler again like hulk hogan

  • Sting to end the Wrestlemania streak!

  • Lame ass entrance. Lame ass Thunder sounds. Lame ass name. Lame ass match. And Sting just reminds me of Edward Scissorhands.

  • @rrwryan LOL probably just another WWE mark, where John Cena is unbeatable, and CM Punk is the best wrestler EVA !!!!!!

  • Man sting was the it's sad to c a company like wcw driven into the dirt

  • Sting is the best!

  • sting vs undertaker/goldberg vs stone cold/masked kane vs goldberg in their prime of their careers would have been SOMETHING worth paying for

  • STING IS LIKE THE NEXT UNDERTAKER I SWEAR

  • @sexycunt46738374 "NEXT UNDERTAKER"? Did you just start watching wrestling?

  • @redskins3656 don't want rude here but wtf is ur problem

  • @sexycunt46738374 My point is Sting has been wrestling just as long as Taker.

  • @redskins3656 ohhh ok

  • @redskins3656

I think Sting is even a little older than Taker. Kinda funny that Sting doesn't need to take as much time off as Undertaker.

  • @DeadmanInc336 sorry but, Undertaker, is 6ft9 and is over 280 pounds, of course he's gonna be needing to take time out at 46. Sting is 53 yes, but Sting doesn't have to carry all that body weight around. Undies is a glass cannon.

  • @DrumCoversFromHell

Sorry but that's a pretty lame excuse. It has nothing to do with weight. If weight was an issue, Big Show and Mark Henry and Kane would need to take just as much time off as Undertaker. Sorry, mate. But let's face it. Undertaker is starting to slow down significantly. At this rate, Sting is in better shape and health than Undertaker. On top of that, weight and height are greatly exaggerated in the world of pro-wrestling.

  • @DeadmanInc336 Undertaker has just aged very badly then, Undertaker has also been in the business and probably has more injuries than we know about.

  • classic.

  • All 7 continents Michael Buffer? Even Antartica?

  • @breannamstewart lol at least he didn't say all 9 planets

  • @kdreamland lol

  • This is how to make your product the best there ever was..... R.I.P WCW

  • this sting was so mysterious and i was baffled at the age of 7 now when i watch it its still as epic

  • the best build up of any match ever

  • @elmagicomessi with the worst payoff -__-

I wanted so badly for this match to be legendary...thank you Nick Patrick

  • thumbs up if you think this match was better then their match at bound for glory

  • @kingmula2 of course after 14 years

  • @kingmula2 Their match at Bound for Glory had a better finish though. This was the worst finish in history.

  • @kingmula2 DUH YOU MORON THIS IS WCW NOT TNA OLD MAN B.S.

  • @kingmula2

No shit, Sherlock. It happened 14 years earlier when both men were younger...

Jesus Christ. What a pathetic attempt at getting a 'thumbs up' on your redundant comment.

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge Seriously, I'm surprised people even gave that comment a thumbs up lol

  • @iTubeYourDadsMinge i gotta ask you what was his comment

  • @kingmula2 another pathetic attempt and getting thumbs up witch is a pointless concept anyways, answer me this, if u had a fight 14+ years ago how in the unholy name of fuck do you think 14 years later the match would be better

  • @kingmula2 this one and the one at superbrawl

  • @kingmula2 match at superbrawl was the best.

  • @kingmula2 Of course it was.... this was about 15 years ago... Sting was in his prime, and Hogan was leaving his prime, of course it was better than the match they had when their both in their 60s

  • stings the daddy

  • Wow Stings Gimmick Was Better Then The Undertaker

  • @MegaHarris470 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHH!!!!!LMFAO!!!(BULLSHIT)HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!

  • Wow Who Knew They Were Going To Wrestle 13 Years Later At Bound For Glory

  • Q 300 pound man can rip up a Tee-shirt - I'm so impressed - Not.

  • sting was on roids. arms have never been so big EVER

  • there gonna face again this sunday in tna, i wonder who wins

  • @wwekraze111 sting will win.hogan IS leaving 2 do mcw fulltime

  • this match got me back in wreslting atfer not watching atfer 6 years. I miss this WcW so much. The WWE sucks now because there is no completion on monday night. WWF(1998-2002) = WcW(1996-1998) > WWE

  • It looks WWF,, It's less proffessionl than wwe...

  • Its happing again at bound for glory

  • this was great then. not like 14 years later in tna.

  • Great entrance by sting!

  • I want sting vs the undertaker. Wwe, tna, I don't care. Make that happen!!!!

  • sting rocks

  • imagine him coming back..the reaction?......oh wait more than 80% of the crowd wont know who he is

  • Sting Was The Ulquiorra Of WCW Legend!

  • Sting does look like Johnny Depp lol they both are hot!!!

  • if they made a movie about sting.. it would be played by Johnny Depp

  • @Wini222 Or Jim Carrey, especially if it was about the INSANE Sting

  • Was a bad match then so just imagine what it would be like now...

  • CM Punk should go NWO style with guys from ROH and Cena should go sting style sporting all black, silence and new arsenal of moves.

  • Can you hear it? 00:32

    New new new World order!

    Wake up!!!

  • @DSAIntimAirbrush its 00:42 dumbass wake up you

  • @DSAIntimAirbrush Fuck the nWo

  • So why are they acting like these two have never had a match together?

  • These were the best times in Wrestling.

  • These were the best times in Wrestling.

  • Sting's greatest entrance!

  • Sting's entrance and sell of the character= PRICELESS

  • Even though the ending got messed up, this is how I wanna remember Hogan vs Sting. Fuck TNA and their lameass attempt to recreate this.

  • @DGENERATIONEXUS i gree with you 100%... the ONLY, and i mean the ONLY way Sting could ever recreate this would be on a larger than life feud with Undertaker...

  • Watching this give me chills, one of the greatest tv moments ever.

  • A good thing about WCW is that no matter how cool the NWO was, they were able to build megafaces that wouldn't get overshadowed by the huge anti-heroes. Guys like Sting, Goldberg, and Diamond Dallas Page come to mind.

  • I wonder if it was funny for Buffer to introduce Hogan in the manner he did lol

  • Did Hogan use this music back then?

  • Sting is the in my top five wrestlers of all time Sting Undertaker Flair The Rock Bret Hart

  • Huge difference between these two legends: Sting has always been more prone than Hogan to use his iconic status to push younger talents and job to them if he feels they deserve it (look at BFG 2009 when he lost to AJ Styles for example), while Hogan on the other hand has always wanted to be at the centre of the spotlight even buring younger wrestlers (so did Nash too).

  • @ROMANTIKILLER2 First of all, Sting is not even half the megastar Hogan was. Secondly, Hogan LOST most of the biggest matches in history. He put over Rock CLEANLY, put over Goldberg CLEANLY, put over Warrior CLEANLY, Sting lost to Sting here. This nonsense about Hogan not putting people over is stupid. In fact, Hogan stayed in WCW until the end trying to help save it putting guys like Billy Kidman over. Hogan was a catylst in two extremely successful periods in wrestling. Don't be an idiot.

  • @ThatwasTERRIBLE uhm ... indeed you're right about Rock, Goldberg and Warrior, and even Lesnar I'd add. However all of them were already huge stars somehow comparable to Hogan ...

  • @ROMANTIKILLER2 If Hogan was as egotistical as people claimed, he would've won those matches or avoided having them period. Add the fact that he lost those matches cleanly.

  • @ThatwasTERRIBLE

Rofl, he screwed both yokozuna and Bret Hart at wrestlemania. Hogan had NO involvement with either men and when yokozuna won, Hogan came out to "defend" Bret Hart and promptly squashed yokozuna in under a minute. Then when asked to put over Bret Hart, he refused to do so. Yeah, the man surely has no ego. He and savage also got to squash main event guys like Flair and Luger when it was 2 vs 8 so yeah..your arguments are invalid.

  • @nwoClassics Thursday!! Jeff Hardy Sting Leave Goodbye.... RVD VS. Jeff Hardy Power Heroes RVD Coming Soon!! Sting/RVD VS Hogan/Jeff Hardy Member Chairs WCW!! Final!! Coming Soon... Past WCW "Karl Angle" VS. "Taz 13" Coming Soon...

  • If Hogan & Sting really do face at BFG 2011, something's telling me that Hogan might pull a Halloween Havoc on it. He brought The Warrior into WCW only so he could avenge his loss at WM 6 in the worst match in PPV history. Sting is the only man to beat Hogan 3 times without losing to him. Is Hogan just doing this match do he can finally beat Sting? I will always have respect for Hogan, but if his ego gets in the way again, I for one am gonna be pissed.

  • @sgauden02 TNA is insignificant so I doubt Hogan is trying to get a match with Sting just to win. That's just stupid hater logic.

  • @ThatwasTERRIBLE I will always have respect fo Hogan, but there are times his ego costs the fans classic moments.

  • @sgauden02 When exactly has his ego ever costed the fans? He put over Rock at Wrestlemania, Goldberg, Warrior, all of them cleanly. He lost to Sting. All of those are some of the biggest matches ever, and guess what, Hogan LOST them. Hogan stayed in WCW until the end when everyone packed their bags. He was putting over Billy Kidman! This nonsense about Hogan having a huge ego is baloney.

  • @ThatwasTERRIBLE Yes he did put over Warrior, but then several years later, he brings Warrior to WCW and have a HUGE storyline with him for a match at Halloween Havoc, but the match completely sucked. And they only reason Hogan brought Warrior in was so he could avenge his loss to Warrior. He also cost fans the Dream Match of Hogan VS Bret Hart because he refused to lose to him and wrestled Yokozuna instead.

  • @sgauden02 You have no problem listing Hogan's faults but you refused to acknowledge the many times that he did the job. Just be objective you dumbass. I don't give a fuck what happened in WCW. The match against Warrior was the biggest match, there was no way to avenge it years later. And get your facts straight, Hogan wasn't scheduled to face Bret because Vince wanted him to drop the title to a heel before he left the company. Vince told Bret and Hogan two different stories.

  • @ThatwasTERRIBLE True. But which of those 2 stories is true? And I never said I didn't like Hogan. I do and I will always greatly respect him for all he's done for the buisness. He's one of the biggest icons ever. I'm just saying that there are times his ego gets the best of him. But, that happens to most celebrities. I'm not saying he's a bad person at all, he's just messed several times, but then again, it happens to everyone. I not trying to be a hater, I just hope he doesn't do it again.

  • I'm looking forward to Hogan VS Sting at Bound For Glory!

  • Sting Champion Forever

  • This has to be one of the greatest matches ever. I remember hogan turned bad and sting started wearing that face paint and stopped talking and kicked ass. I remember this being the first time he wrestled in a long time and how ripped he was and quick

  • Damn, they look so young O_O

  • FUCK STING, WE LOVE HOGAN !!!!!

  • this is so pathetic.........i can see the fake failness...jesus what terrible impact fakes...god damn

  • 80% of Hulk taking control, 10% of stalling, 5% of Hulk yakking at the fans, 4% of Sting taking control, and 1% of the 'fast count'

  • Comment removed

  • fuck hogan he ruins everything he touches

  • @tobinbryan-I agree!

  • @5880missy its true him and bishoff wcw was filled with young talent then hogan came in and was like no im the man ... present day same thing with tna , hogan and them arrive they change the ring its like an old wcw reunion. you just wait when mcmahon buys tna , hogan will come crawling back like he always does.

  • @tobinbryan-I know,I think they should put Sting in charge of TNA. He would make some awsome matches, and he would use and push the younger talent. Sting wouldn't pull all the BS hogan and bischoff do. Afew weeks ago when Sting played "network executive" he even got into the women's business and told that one girl to stay away from the ring, hogan and bischoff act like they don't even care about the knockouts. My vote put Sting in charge,TNA will be so much better, and do live shows.

  • @5880missy I agree

  • @5880missy true, hogan and bishoff are all me me me people they wanna try and stick it to vince. truth is its not the 90's anymore your not even on the same time plus wcw was better than tna in my opinion so its a downgrade.

  • @tobinbryan-yep i think if they would get hogan and bischoff out and get someone else in charge(whether Sting or not) TNA would be alot better, and really give vince/wwe a good run for their money. I remember wcw dominated over wwe for just a short awhile,my opinion that was great. Wish that would happen with TNA. Knock vince off his "high horse" and i can't say this enough tna really should start doing live shows, even they stay mainly in orlando, live shows would be so much better
