I'm an American in New York City, 25 years old now, but I lived in Durham during Years 7-9. Sometimes I seriously think about moving back there and seeing all my mates again. Nostalgia...

I don't think it was MEANT to make fun of Geordies....it's just an INCREDIBLY sweet, cute, lovely little rhyme which is perfectly wonderful....and couldn't be told any other way! It wouldn't be as cute!

Way to go Gary, Brian`s only been on youtube a week and already over 700 hits. Haven`t had a chance to post the book yet, will do on Monday. The grand opening of the library is also 17th. Keep gannin` kidda. Yvonne
You're SO right. It's great to see a bit of Geordie culture on YouTube instead of all the drunken foulmouthed yobs sending out the wrong message about our precious part of the world.
Well done! Thanks for the info - I truly, truly feel folk music lifts the heart! While not of the same caliber, a folk band specific to the Geordie homeland is Busker - Ronnie Lambert.Give a listen if you haven't already.
