@meateaterer That was temporary. This is a non-laquer model which came without a bigsby. This is long gone. I actuallu have a 6136 LDS now which is the laquer with all gold hardware (bigsby)

The guitar is not awkward, just doesn't have the lower fret excess..But it still didnt stop me from getting one.. all that tone makes up for the fret excess.

That Guitar is amazing to play, its similar to playing an acustic just heavier and a bit thinner, same stances and holding. I played one at the guitar shop downtown from my house and I didnt wanna leave would have bought it but ...not for $4400 lol
