I'm sure you'll make new friends in the new department, but at least you'll still be happy if you didn't get it. which you probably will. why don't you have a get together with them as a leaving do kinda thing? get their numbers? you'll be fine either way, your "well 'ard" as jenny would say. :P :)
Yeah, I always feel a bit weird about liking my coworkers. Like I worry if its mutual. One of my coworkers once said something along the lines of "Oh, I probably won't do anything this weekend since I don't have any friends [in this city]." And I was like, "what about me?" to which she responded "...you're my...WORK friend."
