  • Both my bros were combat controllers and the training in intense!

  • Hey this is nice and all, but what do you do after you are finish with serving your time. As in what jobs can you qualify after being a combat controller? I'm asking this because I want to make some moolah after serving the Air Force if I pass the PAST test and past the training. I'm afraid that I might get stuck as a mall cop after the Air Force.

  • @brbn93

All combat controllers are certified air traffic controllers for the FAA. These men are the best of the best before entering CCT school, and only a fraction of them have what it takes to graduate. Then they must endure years of advanced training. Do you really think anyone with that type of experience would become a mall cop under normal circumstances?

  • us?

  • I cant wait to be a combat controller if you have been in a CCT or work with them mind telling me more

  • im stoked to earn that scarlet beret! to everyone who already has it, thank you for all that you do for us to keep us free, and im excited to be joining you guys very very soon!

  • @CS352 combat control is a red Barrett

  • @fierwall5 beret?

  • Can't wait I'm 13 doin pt and pumped up

I'm gonna try out for cct and if I don't make it I'm gonna try for TACP and keep tryin till I make it

    Hooyah

  • Combat controllers are hot:)

    So are PJ's :)

  • just as a rule of thumb, anyone on here using the phrase "Special Forces" in reference to CCT, should not be regarded as an operator.

Also, why argue about this crap? tac p does NOT allow women, tac p isn't special operations (thought it would fall under the category of battlefield airmen along with PJ, CCT, SOWT, and SERE)

Another rule: if you have anything bad to say about Rangers or CCT or PJ's (or really anyone involved with USSOCOM) you're just a douche.

  • @Nocon6

    And a complete idiot.

People tend to underestimate the Air Force, even though its Special Operations have the longest and most physically demanding training. Except for maybe SFOD-D, but nobody knows what their pipeline is.

Anyone working under USSOCOM is an extremely elite and highly trained killer of the United States Armed Forces.

  • @jarid3001 agreed man. don't forget DEVGRU and 24th STS. idk what their pipeline's like either.

and you're right, people fail to understand that afsoc is a completely different culture from regular airmen.

  • about to leave for this job in 10 days. can't wait

  • And they get all the credit that the TACPs should get

  • @jeffreyevans6742 What the fuck are you talking about? CCT were TAC's before TACP's even existed. TACP is NOT a special operations career field. I bet you're a buttfucking quitter.

  • Im entering my last year of high school and im training everyday for this... I want this so bad

  • Any combat controllers here send me a messsege please i would appeciate it more then anything, just want to ask for some advice on my training

  • There is a reason why I've tried to change branches and go AF. Because their Special Ops is the same crap I did in the Army but just a little more intense. Unlike the ranger, green berets, where I wouldn't make it. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @DankHydroBudz lol here is a fun fact, all CCT are HALO certified. Only a few ranger's are HALO certified.

  • @seanhatesusernames This DanHydroBudz is a punk. With his attitude he wouldn't make it through pet grooming school. Much less Ranger School or Combat Controller Training.

  • @DankHydroBudz I am a Ranger and your comment gets a thumbs down. We are professionals, just like the Combat Controllers you are making fun of. We each serve a different purpose and we respect each other for that. You are clearly the one lacking the "balls". So "grow some balls" and RESPECT PEOPLE!!!!

  • how long is the training?

  • @IamSofaKingRad

To become a PJ i know it is over a year, so i assume for CCT its also about the same...

  • Hooha

  • I was dead-set on CCT during high school (PJs get all the glory) but I joined the Army instead... looking back, I've been in 6 years and I've done everything in this video (except airfield establishment) and it can't be any harder than the Airborne Infantry life, trust me.. I think maybe I'll try to re-enlist AF when my time is up and go CCT after all... we always act like the Air Force are wimps (which is 98% true) but I've worked with some CCTs, and Special Tactics definitely have my respect.

  • @silenthunder85 This is a basic school dumbass. Nothing fancy @ this school.

  • @metalslugxBTB you're the dumbass, unless you've been through the course? (and can PROVE it).. thats what i thought. shut your mouth unless you know what you're talking about. AF Special Tactics go through some tough selection; this is not a 'basic course'; this is part of the technical training they undergo after selection. if airfield establishment isn't FANCY to you, idk what is.. there was nothing 'dumbass' about my last comment; unless you are a CCT washout and got sent to TACP.. hahaha

  • You would deffinately never see tacp guys doing haho/halo or airborne drops with scuba gear. Cct/pj is one of the only spec ops career fields where you actually train on a little bit everything. When I was in USAF and went to madena the guys that rung the bell usually went to be tacp or security police.

  • TacP is nothing like cct or pj. I'm not trying to bust on Antibes afc but tacp allows women and is not considered special forces. Cct/pj at least used to have the highest was out rate of any spec ops school to include seals. Cct has changed alot over the years. I was at madena annex twice balls 03 and 07 back end 1995 and 1997. We had one person graduate our class out of 63 trainees. That's a 98% wash out rate.

  • @cctman No TACP definitely does not allow women.

  • @Dameit15 How come I saw a chick wearing at TACP beret? I don't know what they teach you at TACP school but you aren't a fucking billy badass.

  • @metalslugxBTB No i am not a tacp, but i read the website and various other sites. Badasses, I didn't say they were but I sure as hell am glad they fight for our country

  • @cctman tacp does not allow women brah and it is very much considered special forces.

  • @AkTS240sx It absolutely isn't. You are not under AFSOC, we annexed the 17 ASOS to help with manning. You aren't a operator stop pretending to be one.

  • @cctman Ohh my god. One person graduated. Jesus. That's ridiculous.

  • i passes my past a few weeks ago. right now working on my water confidence and my rucking. changing up my diet too. im so pumped to be getting there.

  • does a combat controller sto do just paperwork?

  • @gunzfactory what kind of question is that? why would they go through this intense special ops training if they sat at an office doing paprerwork all day

  • @gunzfactory lmao did you really just ask that, a combat controller is the guy going into battle and telling the f16 where to drop the bomb..

  • @gunzfactory lol that as a funny joke

  • ibaneziano, CCT fuck plenty of shit up, and kill plenty of people. No need to go TACP and work with conventional army to get a shot at the Taliban.

infantry4life, if you think you can hack it, cmon over.

Also note that this school takes place roughly a third of the way through the pipeline, and awards a 3 skill level. Much more training is required before an operational combat controller is created.

  • ibaneziano, CCT fuck plenty of shit up, and kill plenty of people. No need to go TACP and work with conventional army to get a shot at the Taliban.

infantry4life, if you think you can hack it, cmon over.

  • hey guys what do i have to do to become a gunner on the Ac-130???

  • @Arbin321 Go to airforce.com and look into it.

  • @PararescuePJ0096 try to qualify for the Ariel Gunner job in the Air Force. Start by seeing your local AF recruiter for an appointment.

    Best wishes,

  • It says at the beginning a 15 mile rucksack. But in the PAST test requirements, all I have seen is 3 mile rucksack. Is that particular run part of the test, or was i mislead?

  • @Atom1cKitten

This is the very last school that they are in. They passed ATC, CCSC, Jump, and survival school.

  • @Atom1cKitten the 15 mile ruck sack is pretty much the last thing you do in the school, after days of little to no sleep, there are other long rucks during the school to that are longer then 3 miles, and a lot of the field training is rucking, I have a buddy in ccs school right now, with 3 weeks to go till he gets his baret.

  • Great job to 2nd Combat Camera Squadron on the video

  • So, are these guys on the front lines or do they just do stuff like airfield establishment and air traffic controlling?

  • @15academy

That stuff you mention is their main job, hence the "controller" in their title, but they are highly trained combatants and are deployed to combat zones behind enemy lines. Combat Control motto is "First There". CCT are Special Ops working behind the lines in dangerous places. If your interested in a more "on the front lines" combat job in USAF you should look into USAF TACP. Those guys are highly trained soldiers deployed with army units, calling in air strikes and fucking shit up.

  • are there women is cct?

  • @EvangelineBo no its a male only job

  • im in training for the PAST test right now. i can blow everything away, just gotta work on my swimming and im golden

  • @ivone1991 Same here, However... It vice versa for me. Got the swimming down great but the run kills me after the 500m swim. Do you have any tips for the run?

  • @AaL3XaNd3R09 well i always use intervals to get in shape the fastest. do a good pased jog for like 30 seconds then a sprint for about 10 and repeat. some people throw short walks in but jog faster. all depends what u like to do. any advice on the swimming? and once you passs the test do you know when your leaving?

  • greetings from your Canadian ally

    -Canadian Forces Infantry Soldier

  • Combat Controllers are badass, All the branches do their jobs well but I get tired of seeing people rag on the Air Force. Just one of these guys can do an enormous amount of damage in seconds with their radios.

  • my brother is their now

  • you should do some historic research on Rangers and Controllers and see what you find. I'll help you though. Controllers saved rangers ass on the regular. look it up please so you dont look so stupid

  • @leebeardchris yes we do static line and free-fall chute drops

  • "OHHHH YEAH!!!"

  • Is there time to do school/get a degree while in CCT?

Can you go in as an officer?

  • Just passed the PT qualification test, i cant wait to get through basic and start this stuff

  • @leebeardchris yes. HALO

  • Wow. And this is the AF equivalent of SpecOps??? Not to sound like an ass but our soldiers do that in basic training, even more so if your Infantry.

  • @TheInfantry4life yeah that was a 2 minute video of two years of training. these guys are tier two and tier one. if there is a SEAL team, green berets, and sometimes even CAG in the middle east there is more than likely a cct guy with them.

  • @TheInfantry4life This didnt show the hard shit. Im just saying that to you now bro!

haha! They do some hard ass shit! You gotta have a hear the size of a boulder!

  • @TheInfantry4life You really don't know wtf you're talking about, you really think that the big blue air force is going to publish the shit that a lot of people would consider crossed boundries?

  • You're going to have to speak up, my Ranger tab has made me hard of hearing.

  • @TheInfantry4life LOL What a homo. Congrats on making the JV team.

  • @TheInfantry4life This isn't like the basic you and I went through!!! This school will break the best of the best! 2nd RANGER bN 89-93 11B 5th SPECIAL FORCES 93-02. 18D MSGT Ret 09. Trust me buddy ,this school is a motherfucker!!!!

  • @TheInfantry4life dude i bet you are not even in the military....i understand if your regular army cuz they are a pack of ignorant teenagers...but if u were something greater like a ranger marine seal etc then you wont be talking shit about these guys

  • @TheInfantry4life you realize part of CCT's pipeline is Ranger school right?

  • Bring back Woodland and 3-col desert camoflauge! Much more cooler then ACUPAT and UCP patterns.

  • what exactly does a cct do?

  • What is "selection" like?

  • ull be able to rip a tigers head off with your bear hands by the time u finish this training

  • @Russe11john hahaha

  • Team Ray!

  • lol u graduate as SrA

  • this looks like stuff leg infantry do all the time.

  • If you think you can do it go for it then.

  • uuuhhh...i thought my comment made it clear I'm in the leg infantry.

  • Didn't realize that. This is Youtube and there's plenty of kids on here with Usernames like "SEAL4LIFEXx", etc. I plan on doing the 18x program next year.

  • You could always look at my picture. Im dead sexy. Good luck with the 18x. I knew a kid who I thought was a chump who went to sand hilton with me and he made it through selection. Believe guy, if he could make it, you can make it lol.

  • @TheInfantry4life cept with the added body armor of course

  • Hell yea! im heading to combat control school next week, its gonna be awesome

  • yes the cct indoc in shorter but still just as hard and require the same requirements as pjs to get in the pj pipeline is said to be about 2 years before you can wear your beret and cct is about 35 weeks...this is if you do not fail anything and do not get washed back...

  • can anyone differentiate the pipeline between CCT's and PJ's for me? is endoc the exact same for both? I heard from an AF recruiter that the only differences are when the pj's split to learn medical and the cct's split to learn air control.

  • no, the recruiter is mistaken. CCT trainess no longer attend indoc with the pj's they go to the 2 week selection course (which is way easier than indoc). the courses split up a few years ago, they used to be joint but no longer.

  • yeah well i wear my "silly" hat with pride. you have to earn it and i am proud that i get to wear that silly hat because it represents way more than you know.

  • berets are frickin' awesome. i'm in JROTC, and you get to wear purple berets if you are in varsity color guard.

  • Nothing silly about that hat. Im damn proud to have the CCT's in the air force, keep up the great work brother.

  • You should wear it proudly. I'm heading off to the Army with an 18x contract so when I can my green "silly hat" I'll be damn proud too.

Its not easy, but I WILL get that beret, just like you did. Thank you for your service.

  • @baker2154 that others may live

  • @the4armedmonk You do know that is Pararescue, not Combat Control...

  • @baker2154 Amen brother.

  • =[ wish i didnt quit

  • when did you tryout

  • I'm interested in doing this but I don't swim much...

  • Better start. These guys work with Green Berret, SEALs, and Rangers. And when they work with SEALs they have to do everything the SEALs do witch consist's of being a good swimmer. Good Luck

  • If you're not the greatest at swimming then you could consider Special Forces (Green Beret) and Ranger. They are more ruck intensive than they are on swimming.

  • @EmoHunting666 well start swimming lol

  • hooyah team 007! wish i was with you guys

  • Very informative Combat Control School video. The last time I was there was before the new facility was constructed. It looks great. I helped paint the CCT emblem on the old building.

  • dude. its a fifteen mile ruck, one time, i have a bunch of buddies who are controllers and they said it was all sorts of fun. and the days in the field aren't just once...more like often...its kind of the whole point of the job.

  • can any one tell me about that 1.5 mile ruck sack run, is it timed? Or just any other details about the hell they go through so i can better prepare my self. What is pre- scuba all about

  • its 15 miles not 1.5

  • wow, but he said 6,7,8 days in the field, so it totaled 15 miles or do you think that was something seperate

  • I don't think they showed enough hell in this video...

  • I'm not enlisted and take classes in UMUC currently, I want to do combat control and have wanted it since I was 16 yrs old, I'm 19 now, the challenge of CCT still makes me want it, and I'm about to take my CLEP test to receive my associates degree before I plan to enlist. But what can I do to be able to even get into CCT school?

  • just passed the PAST test. CCT school here we come!

  • ALRIGHT!! Good luck man. Haven't taken it yet, but I'm preparing for it. My mentality is that I'll either become one, or die trying (literally). Maybe we'll meet up in the future. Good luck again.

  • when do you plan on takin it? Are you already enlisted?

  • Grats Im 16 and still prepareing for it I want to be as physically fit as I can be but as you can see form this video Its going to be harder then anything I have ever endured Good Luck man and stay safe

  • @c68755 good luck! I would love to hear how it goes, because I want to become a Combat Controller too.

  • YEAH same here! can any combat controllers who can give me some tips to getting fit for this career field

  • IM not COmbat controller But im prepareing and My dad is in the Air FOrce and has helped me I basically just Swim my ass off all the time run my as off and work on my upper body strength as well and thats all you can really do to prepare yourself

  • Swim your ass off. Run your ass off. Spend a lot of time making sure you have excellent swim form and endurance. Get used to lack of sleep and lots of PT mixed in with mental drills. Theres no set work out that will help you. Just push as hard as you can everyday. If you think you arent ready, you probably arent.

  • any combat controllers who would give me some tips to get fit for this career field

  • nice.......need to make one for pjs

  • Exactly the type of recruitment video I've been looking for! Thank you!!

  • FML

  • Great video

  • Outstanding
