I had a cockatiel same colour like yours, who was obsessed with green coloured beer bottles. He would stay with bottle & sing to it & nock in to it until he was hungry or thirsty and if you tried to take away the bottle he would viscously defend it as long as it takes.

he could be singing to his "mate" in the shiny brass...I have a tiel that does this with the mirror that we put in our cage, and he could go and sing to any of our unattached females, instead he'd rather sit and scream at his reflection...we also have one that mates with the water dish...do not ask me why...I have NO clue what going on inside his doofy head...but yeah they do some pretty odd things and thats why we love them!!!

Our male looks like yours and does the same thing..... LOL this vid bums ours out. Everytime he is near the laptop and I play it; his crown feathers stand straight up. Ours is 18 this Sept; but his feathers are ratty bc all he eats is millet-He wont eat fruit or veggies. Congrats on 20yrs. Thats quite a committment. Ours is old too; and I get bummed out thinking of the day he wont be with us. Tear.....

thats one strange bird. i have 2 cockateals that never sound like that. i think it sees itself and thinks that he sees a mate. i think what hes doing is trying to attrack a mate by singing songs and pretty much trying to entertain himself.
