Ugh. No. The whole part of the Ann Margret scene was to show an immature High School girl... with the shrill voice. And then at the end with "Bye Bye Birdie Reprise" Kim is a little more mature, her voice is less shrill and the lyrics are less fangirly. This is just retarded.
The girl who plays Ursula is talented! Her normal talking, acting, character, whatever voice doesn't sound like her singing voice. The singing one is enjoyable and the other is kind of high-pitched and annoying
What would this song be called?.. Also, reading the description box, the original version of this song is in the 1963 version. Ann Margaret opens the movie singing it in a yellow dress with a blue background behind her. The version in this movie is a re-make of that song
@mikkiii555 It sounds better, but it isn't better. The 1963 version is supposed to sound girly and immature. If you listen to the piece Margret sings at the end, it sounds much better than her initial BBB, and better than this (by giving up Birdie, she matured or something).
i love this scene, i was recently in my school production of bye bye birdie and i'd love to see the rest of this movie, do you know where i can see it?
I enjoyed the 1995 TV movie and especially this adaption of the movie theme to 5 part harmony. The Ann-Margaret movie was an unmitigated disaster as the director's unhealthy fascination for Ann-Margaret served to redirect the focus of what should have been a pleasant little musical. The money must have been good for the remaining cast (Van Dyke) who knew the venture was going to tank. Thankfully, the TV movie was far closer to the original musical.

Such an adorable adaption of the movie theme. Very nice. I like this more than the movie version. I thought they did a good job with the TV version.

I'm glad I'm not alone in disliking the '63 movie. Paul Lynde as Dad? A turtle on uppers? What the hell WAS that? Awful.

@ElmerThudd Actaully Paul Lynde was the Dad in the original Broadway production, however the original movie was terrbible!
