Thanks for this, glad I found your channel too. I seen you at SPAH this year. I was just discussing this topic with one of my instructors the other day & he does it same as you. Being able to hum the correct note for an untrained beginner is tricky but I'll be trying. Unfortunately there's no way to check your answers with most recordings, haha.
