  • @ed0985587

Sharepoint is basically a collaborative tool which allows you to manage projects, calendars, blogs, project documents, version control, etc. It helps you build a site and add mini-sites, wikis, blogs, etc

  • @anotherabbas ah ya thanks. doing some research and it seems to be just like a typical wiki builder.

  • Have fun when the damn thing crashes. As a guideline, always keep the network as simple as possible, bells and whistles also means point of failures. Microsoft is good in launching "new" features, but doesn't have a solution when things go wrong.

  • Thanks!

  • This woman in unbearable, I don't know too much about Sharepoint but I will never learn from this voice....It is too painful

  • the voice is painful - god she talks slow.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Collaboration outside of business process is the biggest mistake of the blogging wave.

CEO: If you want to accelerate collaboration for more efficiency, use BPM and add collaboration to manage BPM exceptions and addhoc taskflows. Enterprise dollards are made with BPM, supported by collaboration. forget social collaboration and facebook, if your process are not under control, Otherwise you will add a mess to an existing mess.

  • ZZZZZzzzzzz..... at least I can understand the accent, however the speaker can puts you to sleep b4 presentation is over.

  • Narrator sounds like she has had a bit of valium.

  • Can you downlaod it anywhere for free sharepoint designer?

  • Dear !

Now share point is free Officialy by Microsoft.

  • @Haristeq / Hi, you can download sharepoint designer from microsoft website. Now sharepoint designer is free.

  • Made it 2 minutes in to the video and nearly lost my mind. I felt like I was being presented to by a kindergarten teacher on qualudes.

  • hmmm whats the crap..

  • Though, now that i think about it, it might be done for an audience who's native language is not English. The pronunciation is clear and deliberate.

  • This is 100% marketing/training material for new users learning how to crawl around a new SharePoint site. There is nothing wrong with that. Developers and "pros" need to remember that the user on the end many times has no clue and does not care about site definitions or VS 2005 project files. They just want to know how this new software works and what to click on to get the job done.

The main thing wrong with this vid is the pace. I assume that it's a little too slow even for newb users.

  • bla bla... boring and not for pro's

  • Cut the corporate crap, just tell me what it does. Turned off after about 10 seconds.

  • yup, need some work on the delivery speed :)

  • Thanks so much! I am starting to use Share Point at work. This will help me understand a bit better of what is SharePoint.

  • impressive....that was very useful. Thank you!

  • neat presentation for a noob!!!

  • I assume this is about WSS 3.0, not Sharepoint 2007, since you don't even mention a huge number of key featuers of Sharepoint 2007. You really should make it clear which the presenation is about.

  • Thanks! a good video. and good introduction.

  • I didn't finish watching this because the commentary was too slow - I got bored.

  • It's good for managers, not so good for developers!

  • Exactly. This is my new project and I'm quickly trying to find out what this thing can do, how it's similar to other products that I know and how it's different. Sometimes, I wish they would just cut the marketing crap out and put everything it can and can't do on a spreadsheet.

    "Does this - yes

    Does that - no"

  • @lappynet why not so good for developers?

  • @lappynet Whatever, I got paid shitloads just because the manager heard that sharepoint will solve all his problems. It won't, of course. But I take the courses and a payraise - no problem.

  • thanks for uploading htis..

  • very good
