@Phughy Both, actually. You can control loops, play midi instruments, control effects, and mix live, all depending on which of the orange buttons on the top row (next to the green arrows) is pressed.

@Flamingrune77 Well, through time and practice, you'll get used to your arrangement and then you'll be comfortable and it flows out easy. Some write it down on a piece of paper or on a computer to look at it from time to time while mixing but that's more on from my experience with the novation pad with others.

I wish I knew how to compose music similar to this, or at least learn how to use Ableton, or any other music program. I tried the one month demo of Ableton Pro Live, and it was intense. lol.

Isn't Ableton fun? :) I am researching the new rig I am about to build and was just looking at the Launchpad. You just convinced me better than the Korg demo that I should grab one. :) (Probably because you have rhythm and 'Product Specialists' as a rule DON'T.)

@BrapAllgood yeah I love ableton its freakn awesome... I'll spend hours with my head in that program. oh yeah make sure you have the latest version of ableton. Some older versions of ableton have issues with the launchpad. I just recently starting using it when I got 8.1.4
