I love how people come on these videos and just talk shit about a bowler such as Chris Barnes. The fact is no matter whether you like him or not, he makes a living playing the sport he loves and he's pretty damn good at it. Ask any pro bowler who they wouldn't want to face in a one game match and almost all of them would say Chris Barnes. So in short, until you're on the PBA and have won 13 titles, don't talk shit about Chris Barnes and his game.
@squeak6993 Yes. The problem is that on this pattern his ball is sliding too far down lane and does not turn early enough to get back to pocket. By being so far inside his ball then goes more directly through the 3 pin, thus not able to send the head pin through the 2. As the ball goes straight through the 3, it barely clips the 5, which goes between the 2 and 8 (normally the 5 would take out the 8). The 10 is a "ringing" 10 caused the the 6 pin flying around it, again because of the angle.
Fagan's swing isn't a flaw, that is how a power player creates leverage and projection on the lane. His follow through is still going out and towards his target, its his elbow that is inside of the ball to create leverage and allow him to get his hand into a strong position that pushes his elbow across his face.
Fagan is known for having one of the best swings in the world, there is nobody with that free of a swing out there on tour.

fagan is a great bowler but he has a major swing flaw that he hasnt bothered to fix yet. his hand comes across his face too far so his release point tends to change, usually causing his shoulders to open up and stay open. hes left more 2-4-10 2-10 and 2-8-10 then anyone ive ever seen before...
i went to watch the dick weber cup this past sunday and wow michael fagan got a lot better. hes finally won a championship as a solo. fagan is #2 on my list of favorites! #1 tommy jones!!!
i dont think so his swing has got steeper and steeper as time goes on, as here you can see then the next show i have seen with him on it was a little steeper (i havnt seen his second show in atlanta) then 2006 columbia 300 classic got even steeper then a little steeper in the exempt doubles classic then to where it is now. i want to know what has caused his swing to get steeper and steeper

fagan leaves alot of 2-10's and 2-8-10's, does that have anything to do with how deep inside he plays?

look at him bounce out that 7 pin at 4 minutes. he didnt even throw it that hard
bownguyen316 2 years ago
weve gone through this... its all about the angle and whats around the pin. it doesnt take raw power to bounce pins out.
