  • Sweet!

  • I wish i had the money to buy arcade games. I can't even afford a 3ds!

I would love to have a gameroom in my house!

  • @saturdaymorningfan normal ds plus r4 card = all the games and more :D

  • Very nice. Im into collecting late 80's up to late 90's myself.

  • Do you own Forgotten Worlds? In my opinion, one of the better but overlooked titles from the late 80's.

  • Nice poker room! I sure would like to see more videos of your poker chip collection too!

  • You got a ton of machines man. You should turn your basement into a glowing neon paradise! Put a few 6x9 speakers and a couple subs in there too with 80's music blasting and your set.

  • I have an Astro Blaster that sometimes will not shoot; Can you or someone help me. I do not have any electronics training. Thank you, Matt.

  • That is amazing that you can refurb the machines to make them look and play like new.

  • Now that's funny that they played Pac-Man fever over this video! Good job, dude!!!

  • @GuinnessNH i live in litchfield and im 13 years old i have over 300 8 tracks tapes could you make a video of me

  • @urbanexplorer1996 hey, keep those 8-tracks if you can. Those are rare as well. I still have about 3 of 4, I know one is of Johnny Mathis and one is of Alice Cooper.

  • @sr71ablackbird nice !!!

  • @sr71ablackbird in fact i m now 14 and have over 1000 8 tracks (i have a shipment of 2000 comin soon lol)

  • can someone pleases tell me the game at 3:16????

  • If you mean the guy shooting the blocks its TRON!

  • Hey nice collection man i envy you..ive been collecting rare games and consoles and just bought my first ever Donkey Kong Arcade Cabinet..its just a matter of time now when i get the space ill probably turn into someone like you hehe

  • Nice Hobbie

  • You have Q*bert!!??? I ENVY YOU!!!

  • No way! That's awesome! Never knew that about Tron...interesting.

You should check out the iPhone App "80s Arcade Games". It's in the Top 40 in Entertainment...(if you have an iPhone that is)

  • Fantastic collection. How many do you currently have?

  • i wanna learn to restore arcade games... anybody have links were there hiring appentices???

  • Nice, Tron was my first game also. Lots of fun stuff shown in the video.

  • Comment removed

  • can someone please tell me what the name of the game is at 1:32 ??????

  • That would be KRULL !

  • dude your basement is heaven.Starwars,Robotron,Gyruss,Tron are my favorite video games ever (you need a Defender as well) i like the refubishment you do as well, nice one buddy keep up the great work.If i only lived in the states LOL

  • wife, that was your first mistake never marry thell make you sell this later down the road...

  • Cool man! I have 5 right now, and I'm getting like 10 more in the coming weeks.

  • nice

  • this is the very best buckman and garcia promo I've ever seen!

  • Do u go to Arcade game auctions U can pick up A lot of good games really reasonable there. I saw A Pac Man game go for $300 the cabinet needed some work

  • I used to hit a lot of the "golden years" of Arcade auctions. Between the mid 90's and early 2000's the auctions were worth attending but since then the rarities have all dried up and been placed in collectors hands. Auctions are fun for new collectors but for older ones they are regarded as junk movers.

  • that's an awesome collection! really cool!

  • Way to go buddy.. We have the same obsession over here in Australia only the games are harder to come by.. Nice collection there.

  • How many games do you now have, all together if you had to guess, in your collection?

  • Why not just buy a big honkin' mame machine and be done with it? Your machines are cool nonetheless and I am evnvious to be sure.

  • but do you own the legendary PAPERBOY?

  • I did own Paperboy. I found unapplied (NOS) blue Hunt Wilde grips for it and I think I paid $150 for them alone lol. Ended up selling them for $90 I think.

  • does anyone know what the name of the game is at 5.31

  • At 5:31 is Atari Roadblasters. More commonly seen in the upright vs the cockpit version.

  • hey, thanks for that!

  • Seriously, how hard was it for you to find the cockpit Roadblasters? Was it local to you? I've been looking just to sit in one again since 1991.

Ah the memories of the arcade heyday, notably that of Razz-ma-tazz in South Amboy, NJ. I'd go twice a week as a kid. It was a PALACE of games. :-D

  • Heh!

    i love this hobby :)

own 2 machines now and I have my third in mail soon enough

  • I bought my first game from Tim in this basement.

    It was his Kung-Fu Master.

    14 months later, I have 8 games!

He is right, it is an addictive hobby :)

  • Anyone know the name of the game that starts at 2:05?

  • frontline 1982

  • Thank You. I used to play it and couldn't for the life of me remember it.

  • Good ol klov!

  • this is exactly what i want to do someday too but I want to collect 80s and 90s classic games.

  • that will be me one day . i have the 18th highest score on donkey kong.321,300

  • That's just awesome. I would like to have a set up like that someday. That's a lucky guy right there.

  • I saw Wizards of Wor at the very end of the video,I loved that game as kid,one of those talking games-the wizard would taunt and laugh at you..

Do you have sinistar in that collection?..another cool talking game from 80s.

  • where do you get money?

  • This isn't that guy's account.

  • Greetings from Cleveland!

I have been really wanting to play Classic Tron; I haven't played it probably for 20 Years! Major Havoc is very rare and Krull, Boot Hill! Wow.

I would love to break into the classic gaming world also,

    Any advice??

    Rich

  • buy an xbox 360 and get it online, tron is a downloadable it costs about $5 and you can buy an arcade stick too

  • You have an amazing gameroom! A+. If you get a chance checkout our gameroom video on youtube. My wife limited me to one row of 9 in our basement. If not for her...the bug hit me hard,

I'd have at least 20-30 by not. Like you I still buy and restore games around the area.

I pretty much have the 9 I want and in my mind wonder if I should swap my Space Ace ded. for a DK ded. I have both on my Mame...It's a toss up.

LOVED YOUR VIDEO...As did my 5 year old son!

  • Okay. Tron, DK, Pac-Man, and etc are the Golden Age of Arcade Games, right?

What is the DDR, Time Crisis, Hydro Thunder, Mortal Kombat era called?

  • Late 90's early 2000's the greatness of mortal kombat was in the early 90's

  • I wish i had been born like 5 years earlier so i would have experienced the Golden Arcade Age myself.

  • Do the arcade machines run up his electric bill?

I wish that the top companies that produced the games in the 80's would release the games again just the way they were in the 80's.

  • dude awesome!!!! used to goto funspot when i was a kid and play gyruss for hours, i love them all =)

  • What a blast! Excellent collection. My fav arcade machine was Xenophobe. I have it on PS2 and MAME, but it's JUST NOT THE SAME!! Classic.

  • wow i myself am a retro gamer but i probably wold go with a different altenative such as the marvel vs series time crisis 2 or 3 and maybe a dance dance revolution(maybe) also teneage mutan ninja turtles and all that good stuff

  • This guy needs to remeber to "use the force" (not firing in the trench for bonus points). And Mame is no replacement for the original machines, which I need to buy.

  • Mame is great but the original really hits home to my past. It's mainly about the memories and I too collect arcade machines now.

  • I really don't see the point when MAME exists.

  • I use to be addicted to that Star Wars game-but the one i played was a sit down.

  • One arcade machine I'd love to own is Ikari Warriors. That game is SWEET. Loads better than the crappy NES version.

  • In Brampton,On we have a House of The Dead machine for $700

  • oh dudes... he's got Star Wars.. THAT folks is a BIG TIME collectors item. Over $5000 is normal

  • Not for the upright version. You can get one of those in average shape from 500-700 if you look around.

The cockpit version can get that 5K price when in minty condition! The UR can maybe make 2K if someone has deep pockets and wants a local one.

  • if you know of an upright for that price, PLEASE let me know... I will grab the van and commence to driving !!!

  • The last superauctions event I went to had a very nice upright that went for around 1K. It was very, very nice and played very well. I kicked ass playing it!!! It was fun as hell. Keep an eye out on local auctions, though the SW games aren't common at them. :(

  • I have always been a sucker for the vector games. I have a pretty nice battlezone that I still love. Looking for a Tempest (that's works !!) and of course, a SW.

  • I only have a Space Duel (Great shape, but aren't all SD's usually pretty nice?) and an Asteroids Deluxe which isn't as nice as I wish. A Tempest just sold locally for $400 and it was dead and in about 7/10 shape... Too much IMO. I like nearly all vectors, even Armor Attack!

  • Very well done segment, much better than most I have seen. Usually these type of segments are two minutes with a goober host that acts like they have never even seen an arcade machine in their life. Thanks for posting this.

  • This is SO sweet!

  • Nice collection Tim - a basement - that's the big key. :)

  • cool... frickin' evil.. but cool ^_^

  • holy crap. that's so much cooler than mame cabinets!!!!!

  • Sweeeeeeeeet!! i'd love to have classics from the 80's and early 90's!! i love the arcade cabinet artwork on the sides and the lite up banner on the front. coool stuff!!

  • OMFG its fucking heaven in his basement

  • Any advice on how to go about collecting?? What should I expect to pay for games like Gorf, Defender, Galaga?? Thanks

  • one day his wife is gonna leave him sayin "u dont love me no more ur aways playin games".. =P

  • 2:26, i'm gonna have nightmares :P

  • Oh, come now. It's just a snide ventriloquist dummy. Now Haunted House, THAT pinball game gave me nightmares. Toccata and Fugue played along with all that macabre playfield art could really freak a ten-year-old.

  • ohh a star wars game at 1:20. i've played that on a bonus feature on one of my gamecube games.

I've also played tron. I got it on my gameboy though its also a bonus feature.

most of those games i played but not the actual stand up arcade.

2:42 One of my fav games ^^

aww you lucky dude got to work in a arcade i could of dealt with that. You got my dream basement. just one of my dream things.

I'll add this goal to my list of goals in life.

  • MAJOR HAVOC??!?!?!??!?! OMG! I'd give my left nut for that game!!!! I thought I was the only person in the world that ever played it!

  • DAYUM...I want to go over!!! I live in New Hampshire so he's not that far from me :) I have most of these games but on different things like Atari or Nintendo DS, or the hand held game or those joy stick games they sell at Wal-Mart...lucky son-of-a-gun!! :)

  • the fuck !!! he's got Star Wars.. I have been after that machine for 10 years !!!!

  • Do you know whats sad about this clip,Space Invaders,Astoroids,Defender & Mooncrest are nowhere to be seen, but i think i did catch a glimpse of my other fav...Frogger, the music used to drive you nuts

  • I have about 30 more games that didn't make the video. I talked about Asteroids at 4:55.

  • I was pleased to see Moon Patrol among the collection. That game used to defile me and my entire ancestry everytime I walked down to the pizzeria, but it was a beauty to play repeatedly even though I sucked at it. And play repeatedly I did. :-)

  • Holy shit, that pinball game that talks!

I played the fuck out of that when I was a kid

  • Love it. Wish I had the money and house to have my own collection.

  • what a life... computer programmer, & all those beautiful arcade machines from time gone by. and did you see the house at the begining. wow, shame about the shoddy t.v channel covering it.

  • Too much Pac-Man Fever will make you sick. Halfway through this piece, I was thinking, "Enough of that song already!" Great job, Tim, for preserving an important part of pop culture. I'm a nostalgic, too, and appreciate everything you're doing!

  • yeah he is crazy....

    Ever heard of MAME?

  • Um, I happen to have mame and tons of roms, let me tell you, the real thing is much more fun. Having a real cabinet is one of the coolest things ever, I would know because I'm working on one.

  • MAME just aint the same! These old games had great artwork, beautifully made cabinets, you need to whole tactile experience to really bring back your childhood.

Heh, the wood and hot electronics even smelled great! :-P

  • Not the same if you are clueless..

You can use ALL HAPP controls and also arcade Monitors with an ARCADE VGA video board, it is obvious, that no one here really knows about MAME.

So once you study up on it then get back to comment

Try looking up these key words

    Slikstick

    Aracde VGA

    Ultracade

    Arcade OS

    MameMarquee

  • A little arrogant and presumptuous of you hoverdown3k... Actually I DO know about MAME... I've been a MAME enthusiast for many years and I am sorry but even with ALL HAPP or any other genuine 80's arcade controls it STILL aint the same.

  • You could build a whole cabinet and use an ultimarc graphics card but there is still no way of getting things like the light boards at either side of the screen in Gorf or the steering wheel with the "weapons van" button in Spy Hunter. You'd need to change the controls and add interchangeable light boards, marques and artwork for every single game!

  • AWESOME

I used to play all these games on my Nintendo...

Today, I'm 21 years old and I believe that 80's games were the greatest ones...wanna know why? CUZ I HATE TODAY's!!

  • You the man, man!

  • Do you own 'Defender'?..The classic game of all time!!

  • Oh yeah...Defender is in the basement! Thanks, tim

  • did i just see a wizard of war OH MY GOD im getting in my car and driving to new hamsire

  • I was actually afraid of Wizard of Wor when I was a kid....in case you don't remember the game says "In...Sert....Coin" at random times when no one is playing it....that scared me as a 10 year old..LOL.

  • nice collection ^^

  • I wonder how many fuses this guy has blown over the years?

  • There should be some 70s Arcade games, too.

  • Atari Fire Truck (1978) and Atari Stunt Cycle (1976) are both 70's games that are shown in the clip!!

  • And I saw Stunt Cycle in that video too. I remember playing Stunt Cycle way back even before I was ten years old, and I was a bit sad that Stunt Cycle didn't get any face time in the video. There were other 70's games I remember, too...Sea Wolf, LeMans and that one with a steering wheel where you drove a little VW Bug and dodged oil slicks and whatnot...had a rating system like Fire Truck did (Sorry, So-So, etc). Those monochrome games with the crude sound were awesome to a kid in the 70's.

  • Aha! The game's name was "Super Bug". Thanks for reminding me, KLOV site. :-)

  • Awesome! I loved video games when I was a kid. Wish I was his neighbor because I would be over at his house everyday playing.

  • i what to come over tim your kollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Very cool!

  • Tim, you freakin rock dude! When can I swing by and play?

  • Nice collection.
