How do you get that streaking effect exactly? Blending modes plus some sort of cross dissolve?

I see that you say you did these one at a time. Check out startrails dot de for a program that stacks automatically, as well as makes movies. It's free and easy and all that good stuff. And no, I don't work for them.

By hand! Each frame has been blended into the sequence with Photoshop. That's the reason the clip is so short, as it takes a long time.
