  • ...you guyz are centuries behind!! 400 shillings? Damn I better hand wash mine. You all catching up too slow, but better late than never.

  • this is a great idea kenyans need to appreciate. We are now getting to save our time and resources.

  • what a caricature of an accent........this guys is something else.....LOL

  • So, 50 years from now they'll finally announce the iPhone...

  • @AnotherGeneric

    iphone is in kenya

  • Holy shit! Automated Carwash?!?!

  • automated car wash? WHAT AN AMAZING IDEA!

  • the water recycling part is even the best of the inovations towards right side,,kudos guys,,maendeleo one at a tym.tutafika tu!,,inshallah.

  • we need to learn to appreciate whatever small steps of development kenya achieves if we were real patriotics. even you talking about having seen them new car washes long time ago in america, they are also highly common here in Australia, but this is not home, why not commend and give God thanks for the invention in Kenya. mm ! - Ngai rathima Kenya iitu. - Karanja

  • These car wash are common in America. Its good to have them in Kenya although what % of Kenyans own cars and those who own what % will afford that car wash? I wish we would eliminate corruption in and out of the govt, then the nation would develop fast enough 4 majority of Kenyans to own cars and afford such car wash.

  • Tell us something else , this thing has been there for many years , i saw it for the first time in 1996 in Dubai.

  • is it me or is robert magila or whateva his name is' accent annoying the hell out of me .......sorry person but i just had to say that

  • a cute accent love it

  • and here i am i the west ati proudly refusing to go to these types of car washes opting for 10 waindis hand washing ma car in 30 minutes for full dellux service at only 35 dollars

  • Is it me, or are they alittle late on this revelation?

  • whats so good about the car wash Robert ? or its line with vision 2030 lol. Please focus on more important issues facing the country yu were doing good with the fire engines what happened?

  • these guys laughin it off,,hallo,,ths is development and jus thenfact that its a normal thing in europa and other first worlds doesntn mean its nt a step to us,,kudos,,well done guys in nrb,,

only that i think yu do it even faster than they do it in europe sometyms,,55seconds!!! and ofcos think o yur metalic car paint wen yu doin ths often.

  • It is NOT a normal thing in Europe or America - because of LIABILITY .. they will NEVER EVER allow you to drive through the car wash - just in case something goes wrong and then you sue them for MILLIONS.. the newsman passed thro' the thing imagine!! SAFETY, KENYA, SAFETY!!!

  • Some car washes are drive though boss! That's why they are called drive through. And in what state do you come from where you leave your car to go in???!!

  • can't wait to use this when I come back to Nairobi next month my vehicle there is always dirty after not having used it for awhile and I hate having to wait a long period of time for my vehicle to get washed so this is perfect for me

  • wow this is seriously new almost every car wash here is like that we need the hand wash now

  • This thing does not even clearn the car well, Kenyans need water to drink and use for domestic and not to waste in washing the cars, when was the last time water was received in east lands Robert ? even the city fire engines do not have water as we speak

  • What do the fire engines have to do with this brilliant initiative?

  • are you serious this is new to kenya.... ok . So what is there in kenya that kenyans are so proud of. I guess lions or maybe tusker or nyama choma

  • This is news. Im sure upto 90% of kenyans have never seen this stuff.

  • Another sad story of poor people losing their jobs to machines.

  • LMFO.....but it's! Business.

  • It takes close to half a century for Kenya to catch up with the rest of the world! Thank God that it's a black african who started it first in Kenya. Soon a lot of wahindis will flood theirs all over and water down the marupurupu one can collect from this kind of biashara.

I would be more glad if we can have online stores in Kenya where I can buy zilizopendwa cds and other stuff and have them shipped to me here fast.

  • Robert can you do a report on when a snicker's chocolate bar with nuts hits Nairobi shops. I find this automated car wash report abit daft, ama ni watu una promote biashara yao?

  • kudos robert n bigups to the investor developer whoevr kem up wth thiss.. al of u critics,,,,SHAME AND BIG SHAME.....on you,,,why dint you come up with betta idea or even news...... in the first place get ua self busy with betta things than bringing others down ... HATERSS!!!!!

  • there are alot people in kenya who have not seen this washing machine. robert is not reporting for himself, he is reporting to kenyans who have not had the opportunity to see it. shame on people who travel abroad and assume that everybody has had the same experiences you have had. those of you who know it all should shut up and let those who have not seen it, watch the report. what a bunch of loosers

  • give us better news ..............this is no longer news ntv

  • ~~~Very Impressive^^^

  • The only thing I can fault this on is 55 secs for Kshs 400. That isn't value for money. In UK, more and more people are actually opting for hand wash because automated car wash don't do a detailed work. So sad that people who are seeing this as the saviour technology once again don't know any better hence they can't demand better. If I had to wash my car in under a minute, I would ask for my money back.

  • Abit old model sir but not bad,for our country and cheap 400kshs, in swiss i pay the cheapest 10franks like 720kshs

  • And more, they are damn expensive, considering the cost elsewhere in the world. Even worse, the whole operation should take at least 5 minutes inluding drying. These thieves have stepped up the speed of the conveyor belt to less than a minute so they can cash in. A minority few always cashing in on anything and bringing shame on our country. Majority of Kenyans are innocent hardworking people. IT'S A PITTY Robert wants to tell the world that it's the first time this technology is into Kenya.

  • kudos to the local investor who has come up with this automated car wash. we need more local investors !!!!!!

  • Interesting how people commenting here are beating down any kind of development in Kenya... And yes, with that accent Robert has probably been to such a carwash... but Robert isn't reporting to himself, is he? He is reporting to millions of Kenyans who have never seen and/or been in an automated car wash.

I say kudos to whoever implemented this. And I hope to see many more not only in Nbi but in other towns too.

  • god what old tech mr nagilla

  • u would think with that accent he'd been to an automated car wash!

  • seriously..please why is this making the news...oh lord..3rd world sounds right!!!

  • SERIOUSLY ROBERT...HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK OR WHAT? OH MY KENYA....I THOUGHT ROBERT WAS EDUCATED ENOUGH TO KNOW THESE HAVE BEEN IN USE SINCE 1980s

  • but not in Kenya!

  • Kenya we're lagging behind in everything with a period of 20 years or more...

  • this is stupid.....kwani nation reporters grew up in the village. coz i remember this back in the 90s my aunty used to prefer automated car washes.

  • unanielewa!

  • enyewe kenya we have a long way to go

  • i remember i experienced this for the first time in Germany 20 years ago!

  • I hear you! I'm smiling at the excitement over this, I go to the car wash so often! But yeah i remember my first experience YEARS ago... lol.

  • eh wazee you know whats tragic it took an enterprising kenyan 20 yrs to figure out they could bring this technology to kenya!!
