i have that dual boot setup too. i use xp only for playing games. everything else is ubuntu-and it's better than any windows i've used especially in a customisable sense. and it is more secure since no one makes malicious code for linux! plus all the software is free. oh and it looks better than vista ever could, so it is much better really, thats just a little learning curve to get used to it.

i got about the same system only got 4 gb and 2 8600 gt's in sli mode...shit wont even work in vista...keeps crashing..games wont run..sli wont run...bla..had vista 5 days and went back to xp! :)
