Is this organ under-winded (listen to the ending Tutti), or just the ever-present out-of-tune condition of a lot of Spanish organs (particularly all of those reed choruses). Not being obnoxious -- really looking for some comment from others. Thanks.
... and I hasten to add that I love everything from Neil Young to Iron Maiden. But the passion in this guy's heart is totally evident and obvious. Bravo again. Happy Christmas!
Very good. This man has great courage. A rather "masculine" registration, though, which is a matter of personal taste. He manages to let not a single note be drowned and does a great job at making the whole structure of the piece be heard. A Himalayan summit of a performance !
On Thursday, October 23rd 2008, Raùl Prieto Ramìrez will give a concert on the 180-stop, 5 manuals organ of Milano cathedral, Italy.
El Jueves 23 de Octubre 2008, Raùl Prieto Ramìrez va a dar un concierto sobre el òrgano de 180 registros, 5 teclados de la catedral de Milano, Italia.
I used to have a recording by Dupre of this work and Raul's playing sounds so much like Dupre's - - the organ and reverb greatly match the feel of Dupre's Parisian churches as well. Wonderful!
Have you seen the Hugh Potton performance of this yet on the new organ? Look forward to seeing more of your performances in Madrid. When can we tempt you over to England?
Awesome, I wish I could witness this in person. He seems in total command of this wonderful pipeorgan. He's a great joy to watch and listen to. Thank you!
Brilliant and I loved the Guilmant as well! (although for some reason I couldn't get a comment posted on that clip). Hope to hear both organ and orgaist when I am next in Barcelona. Hope that Raul can come to London to play sometime as well!
Fantastic performance! Technique, registrations used, the organ itself and the acoustic are all exceptional. A very exciting experience!

Can you provide any more information on this recording? I didn't realize it had ever been recorded by Dupre.
