tbh mate the build quality went from imppecable to shite from the phase 1 to the phase 2 and 3 306's

plus group 16 insurance makes the gti-6 a pricey choice

and my car is great, rapid, nippy n cheap

Come down to my house and sort my car out. I have the 1.4 aswell. It hardly moves in first gear, I find third gear the best

hav some advice

replace:

cambelt,tming belt,oil (thinnest synthetic poss), oil filter, spark plugs (iridiuim tip), ht leads(0% res), air filter (knN).

uprate: induction system(cold air), exhaust system (decat, straight through exhaust back box), suspension (coilovers and 60mm lower on back torsion bar)

lighten: remoove back seats, spare tyre/jack/wrench / anything else

move: relocate battery to rear for better balence

i also have ultrasonic water injection (low down torque)

obviously, corsa wud be fuked in corners tho against 306 ther renouwned for the cornering cos the tyres get better traction thanks to the set up, corsa dunt av enuf weight on the front to keep the tyres pressed against the ground.

Well the 1.6 GSI is MUCH lighter than the 306 and has more power and torque so it was bound to win! LOL
