  • Wow, thanks for these lessons. I'd about all but give up on trying to get this technique down. I appreciate your lesson! Thanks! Greetings from Chicago, Lisa Gee

  • woah!!! that was an awesome groove..btw is dis from the "accelerate your bass playing" dvd??

  • Mr. Vitti, why do you always have your thumb bandaged? If I did that, I wouldn't have the callous necessary to play the bass with my thumb with any regularity.

  • Thanks Anthony - more great stuff that's easy to understand and follow - its inspiring...

  • ...thumb....thumb...thumb.....good advice...

  • hi anthony (yeah.. its me again ;))

it's again a great lesson, i've been working on mij technique, and that isn't the problem anymore.

When I want to put the technique into new riffs I can't get them right.

So what scales or notes do you combine to get that real funk?

    gr. L

  • Very nice Tone, it would be nice to know also what are your sound settings...

    Thanks for the lesson.

  • Doton,

That's just my 1969 Jazz Bass. It's direct into my laptop, without any EQ. I turn the volumes up all the way.

  • @JBass69 Wow, no compression at all? Sounds great! Can't get my fender to sound like that unless my strings are 5 seconds old ;)
