i bought this razor cheap just to take away with me for the weekend,, i thought for the price it was fine,, not the cleanest shave,, or the most comfortable, but for the price, you cant realy complain
just used the Azur sensitive, i dont moan about much, but i found that it didnt shave very close at all and kinda dragged along my skin, (only one day growth) my face is now on fire. it was like a disposable cheap razor. i dont reccomend at all
To everyone considering buying one of these, please don't. Get yourself a Merkur heavy duty safety razor. Far more comfortable, smoother and a closer shave. Plus each blade is between 10-25 pence. And yes, I do also own an azor and they are awful.
It's your personal opinion of course, but against our 'natural' competitors (Gillette Fusion and Mach 3) we believe the Azor shaves as close, the blades last longer, and they certainly cost less. Plus the handle is designed and made in the UK.
But that's like saying that KFC is good quality food...compared to burger king. It doesn't hide the fact that they're both a load of bollocks. And I don't care about where the fucker is made, you telling me it's made in the UK is basically saying the quality isn't of a high enough standard for you to ordinarily buy it, so I'll appeal to your patriotism instead. It's stupid.
It really is down to personal opinion. Feel free to have yours.
But if anyone shaves with an (in our opinion) expensive Fusion Power we sincerely believe the Azor will shave as close, for as long (if not longer) and the replacement blades will cost you less.
@KnowledgeVideo The Fusion certainly is vastly overpriced. I had my problems with the Azor, i didn't have razor burn but it cut me up, but after contacting King of Shaves and dealing with their customer services team i'm happy. Gonna try the Azor S now.
I personally use shave oil now (Somerset's OR King of Shaves Kinexium) but previously found cream easier as gel needs to be massaged in well to lather up properly.
It is SAFEST to shave with the grain, as I am sure you know but if you need to shave across the grain it is better than going against it.
For example, I shave up on the neck area and upwards at an angle to finish the same neck area properly and have no problems.
If I shave downwards on the neck - guaranteed razor rash!
We would recommend shaving with the grain, and then if you have heavy beard growth, re-wet your skin, re-apply your shave gel or oil, and then shave carefully *across* the grain.
You stand much less chance of getting any irritation if you shave with the grain.
Wing - you've convinced me! I'll buy some next Friday. .payday. .cant at the moment. .credit crunch and all that stuff. . .I'll hold the blade as lightly as possible to reduce the risk of cutting. .
