  • wow i didnt know there was so much thought behind a point ping pong

  • sometimes its really good to use instinct

  • Americans can't make an analysis of a table tennis point.

  • @PreppyPoser1, LOL, those of you who live with your heads up your butts, and whose grasp of the English language is tenuous at best, will never represent "Americans everywhere".

  • @PreppyPoser1 brays, "Go to Hell faggot."

What's the matter, you don't want to be alone down there?

    LOL!

  • I don't know who made this analysis, but it's just bullshit, no player think like this when they play.

  • cptjrkov ur definitely right about that one... Also when i want to set up for a third or fifth ball attack, I usually use a back spin serve... I have a looong way to go though...lol

  • Im an intermediate competitor

Ive realized that the better the opponent

the MORE crucial backspin serves are

NEVER ever feed a offensive opponent topspin that he can slam back!

  • It's not that you shouldn't do it but you should do it when your opponent isn't expecting it.

  • the serve.. is mixed..

And since it's mixed, it's better to take it easy and not atack it, like Samsonov did, i hope u get what i mean.

And there are 2 reasons why the first spin from Kong, first, Samsonov is known by putting the balls in very diff places to reach, adding to that, he atacked with his forehand in the far left, meaning it'd be easy for Samsonov to, wherever the atack from kong would go, to put it on the other side and win the point.. And yes, i do play table tennis. <3Table tennis

  • why does it have to be so complicated? just play XD

  • I don't understand why everything has to be so detailed. I mean, the guy who's talking and all can't even see that Kong's opening service was a sidespin, and definitely not an underspin serve.

  • I agree that it is a sidespin serve.

  • It was side spin and underspin.

  • I agree

  • criddlenation and I seem to be the only two "table tennis" (not ping pong) players in this room. Who here is actually a member of the USATT?

I'm about a 1600 rated player, I know it's not great but I'm of course the best play in my, high school, college and the city for that matter.

  • its like saying "i pwn, i can chop sooo hard... but i don't have as good of placement im a beast yeah i hit with my paddle at 180 degrees horizontal to the floor i got sick backspin untouchable"

Can you see why people are disrespecting you? you sound like a fool, even if you are a decent player your arrogance and apparent ignorance make people respond negatively.

  • lol you noob... if u hit it at 180 deg the ball would always hit the tip of ur paddle and would fly randomly anywhere

  • k record urself and show me in slow motion. im not convinced

  • ur a retard =)

  • poor guy, you really don't have a clue what ur talking about. bet you don't even know what a proper loop looks like =(

  • ur pathetic man, but i suppose it's not good to make fun of the mentally handicapped. i'll bet ur like 14 or something and are the champion of your high school. well done, but in the us that's not a hard feat as kids like you have no idea how to play table tennis and when you figure out one aspect of the game ie "topspin" you think you are a world class player. Come to the US open in Vegas this summer and prepare to have your pathetic 180 degree hit shoved down your throat.

  • you obviously have no idea how to describe a closed forehand ya special little guy. think about it man. if you hit with the blade perfectly horizontal you can't hit the ball with the rubber surface, and a near horizontal stroke would depend more on your opponents play. more specifically counter looping. anything else would require you to open up your forehand more. it's an odd thing to do, claim one skill for one situation on youtube.

  • The only person here sounding gay is you. You may be good, but is there any point is shoving your so-called "greatness" in our faces? More like "retarded".

  • table tennis is a sweet sport but not when faggots play it and make it look bad. its just like paintball fat kids play it and people all of a sudden think anyone can play paintball because a fat kid can. just i don't understand why people have to make the sport sound so gay "loop" zomfg "anti spin" god its not world of warcraft

  • they think about the tactic before the game,

    not in the game.

    -no time to think-

  • Samsonov should had taked that last stroke

  • You play with feel, not thought. Plus, if yu fast enouh, you can hit the ball anyway you want, despite your position. Takes a lot of work, but you get used to it.

  • This is all very nice, but these tactics are drilled into the players - they are not thinking as much as the commentator suggests. These are just habits you acquire after training for a while. Sure, players do make tactical decisions, but typically the occur before service.

  • i agree :)

  • lol

  • wow nice vid

  • why does everyone think killer spin sponsored pros are the best? i thought killerspin doesent even sponsor anyone in even like the top 10

  • Chen Qi is sponsered by killerspin and is currently ranked 7th in the world.

  • oohhh top 7

  • Completely WRONG, you idiot

Top players watch every match to analyze their opponents. Did you notice that they place a camera each time before the game starts?

And in China, we have a whole team of people watching and analyzing those tapes

  • He does have a point. It's funny to see all that effort from the US and old European champions, but there is still a very long way to go...

  • i understand your point.

they spend alot of money and time on "professional" table tennis gear and "training camps" thinking they will improve, but really they need to grow a foundation and start from there.

  • samsonov is wicked he has hard defence not the cutting kind but hard defence which is also his offence
