@BiologicalClock (great name btw!) - I agree with you about his vocal intonations; this is the first time I've heard Sandburg's voice, and I understand why you were able to sleep to it! It has that soft lull that is easy to get lost in, and if you don't force yourself to pay attention you'll nod off and start daydreaming about the words he so carefully crafted.
Oh my gosh, this brings back memories. I used to have a recording that my grandpa gave me when I was a kid, and I would listen to it before I went to bed. It would put me to sleep every time.
