Nice job, Ne14Gr8Music...good song and a good-quality recording! And yes, it is the promo 45 playing (with headphones, I can faintly hear the pops and clicks and the sound of the tone-arm lifting up at the end). A good example for all the other You-Tubers out there who want to share music with us by holding a toy microphone in front of a portable record player. The sound is so awful--like, why bother?

That was not the 45 playing. Note the band wishing Christmas greetings at the end. That was not on the 45. But it is still my favorite Christmas song.

It does have the same melody but whoever said that Allan Caswell's version is better, I want what ever u are smokin. He built an infringement matter and there are similarities but nothing has came of it. U can't put Allan Caswell and Alabama in the same sentence without laughing.

The tune to this song is a rip off of another much better song....

It is called "On the inside" by an Australian named Allan Caswell who wrote it in 1978.

Thank you very much Miles! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. The stereo sound is coming directly into the computer. That's one thing I love about recording direct. You get the full sound from the record and not from the video camera's microphone, which is sometimes hard to hear.
