  • RIP GENE RAYBURN

  • This was probably his 2nd week, he was still nervous, Tom that is.

  • wow, that guy really doesn't know when to shut his mouth, lol

  • Give Tom a LOT of credit...it could not have been easy to fill Allen Ludden's shoes. On top of that, Ludden died during Kennedy's run on the show, which led to a very somber show on that taping.

  • @ :30 Gene Rayburn is so funny here...haha..

"Iam gonna run this show from now on"

  • UH OH!!!

  • Comment below him: That was totally uncalled for. I am 29 & I know who Arthur Godfrey is.

  • The comment was removed. Thanks for reporting it.

  • the celeb opposite Bill Anderson was Judy Norton; best known for Mary-Ellen Walton, and later a Playboy pictoral

  • @younghoss take a lesson from Judy Norton-Taylor and many other female celebrities-DON'T DO PLAYBOY!

  • Who were the celebrities in each of the clips?

  • The first clip features Wink Martindale & Gene Rayburn; second clip, I recognize Marcia Wallace, but not the other guy; last clip, I see Bill Anderson, but cannot put a name on the lady.

  • I believe that was Fred Travalena in the second clip.

  • Who was it that called the "bum ba bum bum" from offstage?

  • Poor Tom!

    He's thinking "oops" XD

  • Nobody could do it like Allen Luddin did

  • 0:28 "We have another clue? WAGH!!"

Poor Tom, boy did Gene let him have it; DINGBAT! lol

  • Tom certainly was a big enough man to poke fun at his brief slips. And it seems "dingbat" was not just Archie Bunker's favorite epithet. LOL

  • dingbat!?

  • You have joined the Bert Convy fan club/

  • The "Dragnet" music cue from offstage. LMAO.

  • Dragnet Music!?

  • Yeah, not technically, but the 'bum ba bum bum' reminded me of that. lol

  • UH OH!!!! lmao

  • Poor Wink. He looked so confused.

  • It must be the clue.

  • bwap a bwap bwap classic

  • I don't like this part of the game, I prefer the simpler version and the lightning round. The reason is because its too easy to say the answer throughout this...as we see.

  • @ 1:24 there's the evidence.

  • Gene's reaction kills me!

  • @ 2:13 UH OH.

  • Dig the "High Rollers" drumroll at 1:13.

  • We did not hear a drumroll.

  • Listen closely after the crew member offstage yells the "Dragnet" dum-da-dum dum. A brief brrrap-bap on the drum.

  • It was loud and clear...

  • @BlackwoodCompany the drum beat heard there right before tom started laughing was the "board filling up" sound effect from High Rollers.

  • I never really thought about that. It makes sense considering both shows were on NBC, despite the fact that "High Rollers" was already cancelled by this time, I think.

  • The cross-studio fun DOES make sense. Especially since the next "Password" show on NBC, "Super Password," once used the four-note "Wheel of Fortune" category reveal stinger as a joke when Pat Sajak (whose quiz show taped across the hall) was one of the two celebrity panelists,.

  • that's why he got the big bucks!! i like the middle one best. :)

  • Nice to see the puzzleboard in a farther view.

  • whac whac whac whac

    lol that was at 0:22

  • The second one was shown earlier this week (as of the date of this post)

  • I think that it was on GMA, if I am right.

  • Contestant: Haliloki. (forgive the spelling)

    Bill: (Chuckles) Same to you.

    LOL...loved that line. :)

  • I don't think that the word exists.

  • If it did not exsist, then it would of been declaired Illegal

  • I think it was allowed because it was a name, otherwise we would have heard the illegal clue sound.

  • I like Tom Kennedy, but Allen Ludden in my opinion was better.
