  • Te amooo Cat Power Wooooww

  • i'd like to hear her with Ray LaMontagne

  • I LOVE YOU :3

  • destroys all others.

  • I'd marry her

  • she moves very well. was not expecting that.

  • she moves very well

  • Her voice is like spreading butter in your ears.

  • @Evankilla666 i got a boner

  • Is it natural to pop a boner while watching this?

  • She gets her big break on Letterman and she shows up in a flannel pajamas????

  • It doesnt matter what she is wearing when her music is this sweet.

Not that it shouldnt matter anyway.

  • @chunhaylee Are you really judging her based on what she's wearing? Maybe she's just not pretentious enough to think that her attire is really going to impact her performance.

  • so haunting, so subtle, simply beautiful...love you, Chan. ;)

  • Brilliant, powerful and beautiful. What a song & what an artist!

  • That woman lays her soul bare.

    Simply gorgeous.

  • when she sang "can you please help" there at the end I got a little teary.

    Chan is so gorgeous.

  • She is so fucking incredible! Amazing song.

  • Good to have the music guy doing what Letterman cannot.

    Cat Power are awesome.

  • this performance was the 1st time I ever heard of Cat Power and I was converted.

  • Beautiful performance... there are few artists of the '00s that really held their own, with nobody coming close to what they achieved, and cat power is one of them

  • HE PLAYS DRUMS TOO

  • You are incredible Chan. I just hope you didint fool around with that gapped tooth schizoid mutual admiration society called Dave Lettermen. The guy may come across as a loveable witty goon but believe me he is sexually ruthless.

  • I think we're pretty lucky. I think she's an angel.

  • simply divine!

  • 2:14 check the side mouth

  • What a great talent, Her voice WoW!!

  • Actually he is Paul Scheafer. Not a drummer but a good keyboardist and Band Leader. (He may know how to play drums too i suppose....)

  • He's Letterman's band's lead drummer and front man.

  • Who is that guy? He's not Letterman

  • cat = mega stra goduria

  • it's funny how all my fav female artists have the same 'do. [bjork, natasha khan-bat for lashes-cat power, coco-rose even alanis morissette]

  • wow!!

  • i love her outfit.

  • Such a babe indeed.

  • she's such a babe, what an amazing voice!

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Maybe not

  • I cant believe she was born without eyes. Its tough to play the piano without them.

  • What are you talking about?

  • retard

  • that's actually reasonably funny...how did nobody else find that funny!?

  • I was only making fun of the way her bangs covered her eyes in the video. Did not mean to upset anyone.

  • I found that funny..

    xD

  • that guy shouts alot, lol

  • her voice was made for lullabyes... i love it....

  • I fucking love Cat Power!

    What a legend

  • great singer, keep on rocking cat power !

  • whoever states negative criteria may know about theoretical music but definitely not about the art of music. her voice is a precious one you come accross seldom these days.

  • btw, fiest sucks a lot

  • no homo...this broads voice is ridiculous.....in a fuckin good way

  • her voice is so rich, i love it

  • Neil Young HAS to be an influence...has to be.

  • you nailed it female neil

  • 2 brilliant musicians!

    Peace.

  • her* ¬_¬

  • i love he voice. so raw and beautiful.

  • WOW, beautiful.

  • she's a little nervous, but pulled through. this song blows anything in feists catalog away

    in my opinion

  • she's not nervous, that's just how her voice sounds lol

  • @MajorSecord ok. if you say so. try watching it again and tell me she doesnʻt get more comfortable as the song progresses.

believe me, I know ow her voice tends to "crack" & I love it.

  • who the fook is the slap head? Its certainly not Letterman!

  • Are you seriously that stupid?

  • she´s very talent.

    i love her voice :)

  • god damn, i was at lollapalooza and i missed her because i didn't know who she was at the time.

  • whats the first song she sings?

  • "Maybe Not"

  • i love her hair

  • wow....just beautilful.

  • unbelievably moving and unique ...she is so beautiful ....

  • cat power was first. she came out with her first album in the early 90's. feist didn't come out until about 2005.

  • do your research dude!

  • do you even know? you said to, but didn't provide anything of your own.

Feist started doing her main songs 2000 on. Mainly what xojayyyy said, about 2005

  • feist's first album came out in '99.

  • what is that red mark on her hand????????????

  • Looks like a Band Aid. Hope she isn't a cutter.

  • probably a stamp from one of her gigs

  • who was first? Feist or Cat Power?????

  • What does it matter? They're two completely different artists with two completely different styles.

It's like asking: "who was first? Motorhead or Pink Floyd????"

  • that's bullshit man, they may not be identic, but you can't say they are two completely different artists with two completely different styles!

  • Of course I can. Feist makes light-hearted pop/torch music... (and I HAVE heard all three of her albums in the hope that I would find something redeeming. Only the second has some decent stuff on it).

The only album Cat Power has in her catalog even resembling pop music is her most recent covers record. Have you actually even heard her first 6 albums?

What makes them so similar? The fact that they're both skinny white women?

It's like saying Bjork and Lucinda Williams are similar.

  • They're Indie girls-with-guitars and many people have the habit of grouping all Indie female solo artists together, even though they often sound very different. It's the concept that binds them together in people's minds.

I enjoy Feist's music, but its quality is far less consistant than Chan's. When Feist does stuff like "Lonely Lonely", "Honey Honey" and "Secret Heart" she really shines but then she does songs like "I Feel it All" and "My Moon, My Man" that are cringingly Popy.

  • miss the old chan. i hate her new performances where she tries to dance and make it "more interesting" and she just looks bad

  • where the fuck is david wow)

  • where can i get this video?

  • omg i luv kitty cat power adn her singing ass
