  • @Haloplayer20 you should post a video of yourself covering Geddy lee on bass and keyboard at the same time... Then say what you want about this kid.

  • @FearlessChikn i don't play bass. but my friend who is the the same age can play it just fine without a pick, and when he is playing the keyboard, he uses hammer-ons, which don't require the use of fingers or plectrums to play. But when i see someone playing a bass part (especially a cover) with a pick when the way it should be played is with fingers, i become agitated

  • the bass player is a fag. he uses a pick!

  • @Haloplayer20 whats the matter bro you jelly?

  • How does this not have more views ???

  • This is such a good cover it makes me sick and never want to play drums again.

    WOW!

  • PRO

  • cowbells, i need some cowbells:) good job guys.

  • Awesome job guys. Just tell the bass player to lose the pick and play like a real bass mon! Geddy ain't Carol Kaye yaknow :O

  • perfect!!

  • This thing sounds almost exactly like the original. Awesome job guys. :D (The drummer has so much talent, he's amazing.)

  • I closed my eyes and thought for a minute that I was listening to RUSH, you guys are awesome!!! I envy you so much for your talent!!!!!

  • I'm more impressed by the original. The whole thing sounds like a more modern King's X type sound, the harmony vocals, the downtuned guitars, the metrical breaks - GREAT! The Rush thing obviously came earlier but the original is really good.

  • Great job, guys! I am a drummer and I know how hard is this song. But this is far one of the best covers I have ever seen.

    Regards

  • amazing young boys

    \m/ (>.<) \m/

  • woooooooooooow this is soo crazyy. soo young yet so good. check out my channel for some sweet music.

  • Wow ! This is fantastic! Bass player really owns that bass, its freakin' hard playing anything else than 1-3 chords on a bass on that age..

  • I know about this band since years back time, because I m a rush fans, I like this boys and the chords are very good, nice sounds...... congrats. greetings from Madrid city, spain.

  • so fuckin sick!

  • 13 people are retard...

  • @n3cr0morfh 13 people are 40 year old guitar/bass/drums players who cannot play this.

  • it's just awesome

  • These kids are so young, but they're so good! Wow!

  • very cool the song after YYZ rush, enjoyed!

  • All 3 are good but that drummer wow

  • thats probably one of the tightest YYZ covers I've ever heard

  • They are gonna be all over the airwaves!!!

  • s..t you guys are the best rocking kids eeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rock on i could just whatch your vids all day today

  • Keep on going, stay of the funny fags etc. and see you touring Europa within 10 years

  • Keep going, stay of the funny fags etc. and see you touring Europa in 10 years

  • that was some awesome drumming!!!

  • that kid is going to be a drum god...he can play YYZ when hes only about 12...imagine him in 10 years

  • whoops, someone forgot to tell them that it's "impossible" for kids to play this even nearly as well. lol. great job. music flowing from inside and far beyond talent. the way music should be. Great message in the original at the end too!

  • great cover keep it up! anybody can cover though. original matrial is where the cash is

  • You and Bad Salad are my upcoming favorite bands

  • Great job!! We had a RUSH copy band back in the day!! You guys do equal justice!! ROCK ON!! :)

  • holy crap!-im amazed!

  • great job......all u need is bass pedals lololol

  • @skat4evr9

The bass keyboard pedals are called taurous pedals. I have and there kick ass. Great job!!!!!! But geddy dosn't use a pick. He uses one finger with his finger nail. But great job!!!!! :)

  • The guitarist left but I just saw the new Mindwalk Blvd and they KICK ASS! They just won "Best Heavy Rock/Metal Act 2010" by the Boston Music Conference. Great stage show! Great talen!. Love these guys!

  • Impressive. Drummer looks like Frodo though. :)

  • those 11 people, are ABSOLUTELY haters. point blank.

  • oh my friggin god! Ages 11-14 wholly S ! These kids must be so influneced how the H did they pull this off? I am blown away Wow!

  • Very Talented !

  • nice cover

  • sadly the original band is no more :( Been watching these guys for a few years now (have my own mindwalk blvd shirt that I can't fit into lmao. Their original stuff is so great, and am curious as if they will ever release the album that they made with producer Mudrock (forgot the name, think it's Art Crime or maybe that's just the singles name). Crazy enough, I just found out the guitarist is now doing a project with crazy ass drummer Thomas Pridgen from Mars Volta. Insane stuff. LOVE THE MWB!

  • Unbelievable! Rock and roll shall live on in a bright future with these kids. Keep your heads on straight and you guys will be around for a long time. Rush is very difficult to cover and you smoked it. Nice original too. You can hear the Dream Theater influence. Kudos!

  • THATS IT..iM A FAN!!!

  • sabin got great bounce and this kids rok

  • WoW ! F...ing WoW !

  • your band should be called mind f*ck...cause thats what just happened to me. good job

  • i love how the one kid already has facial hair lol.

  • fucking amazing lol

  • Great Job :) that is coming from an old Rush Head too

  • wow guys. this is awesome. keep it up. SHOUT OUT FROM CHICAGO

  • my brain is full of fuck

  • You guys are so lucky your parents let you play. Mine won't let me get a drum set. I told them I'd even help build a little shed in the backyard so I could play and have lots of room, but they still won't let me. You guys are awesome, if I see any albums out here in Saskatchewan, I will definitely buy them! Keep up the good work!

  • I shake my head in shame... you guys have more talent in your little finger than I will EVER have. Stay focused and keep writing. As you grow so will your art. I have a famous brother in the business. He started in a garage at a very young age and suffered through everything it takes to make it. Now he is a multi platinum selling front man in a world wide famed band. You too are moving in that direction. I wish you all the very best!

  • Nice man. Now don't get a big head and stay humble. You shall lose respect otherwise.

  • damn

  • AWESOME Cover guys! You can tell you play and practice all the time. Great job! Keep it up.

  • Hey, kid on the drums, are you Mike Portnoy´s son or something!?

  • I guess thats what money and free time exudes.. I've been practicing percussion for 24 years, since I was 5, and i'd probly be a lot better than I am today if I had a 28 piece Tama Tristar pro when I was 11. I had a Pearl Export... Now I play a 37 piece Ludwig Super Classic, all paragon Zildgians... man I miss bein a kid

  • @MawkBalls Paragon are Sabian not Zildgians..

Haha yeah your right about the time and money issues...

  • I love the fact these young guys are inspired by this type of music instead of that Rap, Punk and all that other crap we hear on the radio!!! Way to go guys, keep it up man. Keep the real music alive !!!

  • There playing the main riff all wrong but... holy shit!

  • Great job guys. I just wish there would have been some guitar bends in the first parts of the guitar rather than sliding. The bends just sounds way better. Keep working hard.

  • these kids freakin ROCK!!!!

  • to the guy who said the drummer was playing through the rests... I think the video is not synching up with the audio. These kids are legit man. CHeck out them doing limelight live.

  • Wow wow wow. I was absolutely blown away by the original song. I hear a bit of Kansas with the harmonies, thats not at all a bad thing! As a die-hard Rush fan, I am in awe as a bass player of your dedication to you insrument. Playing Geddy's basslines is no small feat!

    Consider me a fan!

  • This has blown my mind. The bassist is sick.

  • i can hear the tool influence in this song

  • @deadlol1 Uh dude, you have it backwards, this is an original song from Rush, who influenced Tool. This song was recorded in 1981, it's from the 'Moving Pictures" album. The song" YYZ" is the IATA ref code for Lester B. Pearson International airport in Toronto, Canada. JFGI

  • @Paulysworld2005 lol i didnt even mean to post this comment here i ment to post it in some other video lol yea i know rush

  • @Paulysworld2005 it was supposed to be for their original at the second half of the video

  • @deadlol1

this song was written before tool even existed:D

even without that in mind this song does not remind me of tool:/

  • i'm particularly impressed by the kid playing keys with one hand, and the bass with the other.

  • Never fail to amaze me. Love these guys!

  • haha thats awesome. gotta love rush and gotta love cover bands that can play as good as you guys, P.S. i want his drumset.

  • as a drummer myself, i can tell this is fake. nice job at playing in the rests. good try though.

  • @bstankhaloclan actually, the drummer has been playing since he was like 4 ... there are other clips of him progressing here on youtube.

not fake... just young kids who rock!

  • @bstankhaloclan you obviously are no drummer

  • Awesome lads......absolutely brilliant.

To the bassist....17 yrs i played bass my lil brother. My personal opinion lose the pick. Fingers tend to add warmth to the bass. Man love the second song, reminds me of Tool and Boston crossed. Love it lads. I hope to see you soon live opening, make sure you come to Canada please Toronto for sure.

  • awesome- best band i've seen for the last few years! i love power trio's. don't make comment about age the guys play as mature musicians, damn if the bands ive been in were only this good!!!

  • go back to school you slackers!

  • The guitar justs sounds a little off to me...like he was playing just a little too tight and muted, and not letting the notes ring out. But the bass was great, and the drummer is (as always) fantastic.

  • where can I buy a CD?

  • nice you have your own sound.

  • These guys have TALENT! Period!

  • TIGHT!!! Great talents, and really good vocals !! Keep it up!!

  • freakin rich kids.....

  • @TheWho852

What does being rich have anything to do with talent?? You must be jealous..

  • @jodicox1 Sooooooooo much. If your poor you can't afford lessons or good instruments or anything. But that's not what i said, it's not about talent its about the equipment they have.

  • doesnt even seem possible,

  • Tyler... Hey Little Man You Rock Bud, Well The BAnd Rocks!! No Doubt, I just wanted to say that If I were your Drum Tech, I would'nt let you go on stage without cutting your Tie Wrap LOL : ) was a different look again, LOL You all are an AMAZING Gift, Thanks Check my Channel on the TUBE,

    constantinosbassman

    i am a Vocalist

    Sincerly Dino / Constantinos

  • reality sets in at 4:30

  • this would be considered great if they were about 5 years old, but this isn't no bid deal...

    kidding

  • There awsome. I cant even imagne how epic they'd be if they played deathmetal. Lol. Keep rockin little dudes \m/

  • that would be awful & waste of time stupid

  • man these guys should be more famous. anyways thats awesome. also does any one know what guitar is the guitarist using?

  • better luck next time bitchez no one will be able to master rush and there songs

  • yeah theyre like 11-14 years old and they did a better job than you can let alone when you were 11

  • Awesome! Wow, they must have worked hard to stick yyz as well as they did. I wonder how long each of them has been playing. They look a bit older in the second clip though.

  • Check out their website they all started young. The drummer Tyler Hudson has been playing since he was 2. There is a video on youtube showing him playing from 2 to 11

  • @MoondogUSA there drummers been playing since he was 2 years old

  • killer, how did you guys get your start?

  • Nice,awesome drummer!!!

  • HOLY SHIT!

i can't wait till i can play this right on the bass

  • the kid is like 10. fucking amazing man!

  • holy crap loved the original

  • I came for the YYZ cover...I came back for the original tune. Did you guys write that as well as play it? Very talented, look forward to more in the future from you guys

  • you guys rock, how long have you been playing?

  • Why are my "reply" to comments ending up at the top as if I had posted a standard text comment?

Anyway, hey soundman, give the guitarist even the *slightest* bit of reverb for depth, and give the bassist some GAIN on that thing to nasty it up!!!!!!!!!

  • Thier original material kicks ass!

  • Bloody hell. These guys are very good.

    Very well done.

  • it sounds great, but dont the kids look miserable, like they are some prodigy children forced by their parents to suceed where they couldn't....

  • no, I just think they're trying to focus a little too hard.

  • One question please answer, how do you guys afford this stuff? im dying to know.

  • endorsments

  • to jest tak zajebiste co te dzieciaki potrafia ze az nienormanle

  • Picks+ Bass= wrong

  • wrong is very relative

  • Geddy Lee does not use a pick therefore it is wrong

  • that means every bassist on earth uses a pick is mistaken just because Geddy Lee doesnt use a pick???

its a new approach of the song thats all plus it sounds good

  • yes indeed they are mistaken

  • And he masturbates left-handed, so you're doing it wrong. Go try again, *if* you can get an erection.

  • fuck you hater their kids

  • whats ur point

  • Actually, Geddy himself has said that his playing style is inherently incorrect, and that he would never do a "how-to" video unless it was how to play wrong and get tendonitis.

I'll stick with the picks I use 90 percent of the time, and when I'm not using them the other 10 percent, I will allow you to worship me because I'm playing like Geddy.

  • I wont worship you because you arnt geddy lee. and 90 percent of the time you are playing incorrect. Geddy is to modest to admitt that everything he does that is music related is the pinnicle of excellence.

  • Oh my fucking god, Kingding6, your theory and application is completely illogical and pointless. You type/speak as if you are younger than these guys who are playing, your punctuation is incredibly lacking, and your run-on rambling thoughts are just fucking retarded. I'm done screwing with you, it's not even fun to be this right and not have any challenge in return. Now go jack off and try not to hate yourself post-orgasm... IF you can get there.

  • Wow, I can't believe I just read that. NO, 90 percent of the time they are playing it CORRECTLY. And the parts that ARE incorrect, most of them is Tyler using his own fills. You are retarded.

  • Great job guys! Keep this up and your going to get somewhere.

  • this is the most amazing thing i have ever seen in my life!

  • holy shit, where are you guys from, I wanna see a concert

  • Ha i know these guys, my dad is good friends with the bass's dad...Bass's name is Mike and they aren'y sponsered YET

  • What's the story behind them? They look sponsored. Is this a music school thing that provides them w equipment, lessons etc? Then let them perform? There's no doubt that they're talented, but I've seen better that don't get the attention these kids do. That's an expensive drumset too...I have friends who've put years into buying their kits. This kid is too young to have paid for that. Seems like an elitest music school taught these kids or something. They're talented, but something's fishy...

  • search for tyler hudson on youtube and you will see the video of him playing drums from age two to when he's 11! That's why he has such an amazing kit

  • I drop to my knees and salute the excellence! Guys, you are headed for great things! Please, stick with it! I want to be buying albums for years to come!

  • how old is the guitarist and how long has he benn playing

  • Great job, the guitarist needs to stop sliding up and dopwn with every note and let them sustain longer and it will go a long way, but besides that i'm very impressed, i'm 41 now but when we were young teenagers in the early 80's we would play this pretty dam close to the original, if you are a young musicican and you learn, and live bands like rush and zeppelin you will become a better musician.

  • You huys are so great! This is JoJo from myspace :) So proud of you!

  • Great job guys - just fantastic. It might be me but I think you're missing one note in the main riff - the F#. Listen for it - I think you'll hear it. It is the last note played in that riff.

  • awsome!!!

  • New Dream Theater

  • those kids have fucking rich parents ..

  • hell yeah

  • Needs More Work Honestly

  • Please. Just give a nod to their talent. Until you post a video of yourself at the age of 14 playing better, just keep your negativity to yourself.

  • Really good!! I like the original song a lot too. Totally rocks.

  • its good but i wish the guitarist would let the notes ring out at like 1:30 ish

  • I'm speechless...

  • nice...

  • i just cant get it......how do they do it so good. very good.

  • This was sweet

  • Lovely cover of "YYZ". Really well played. The original song was interesting.

  • guitar part needs some work. Alex plays the first part and lets the notes ring on a bit. Also plays it closer to the bridge position the da da da daaa, da da da da daaa

  • wut

  • Drummer looks like hes got some bad habits

  • amazing musicians for their age. In fact, amazing even besides their age

  • these kids rock, i wish i could play like that when i was 11-14.

  • wow these guys sound awesome, great musicians already !

  • The bass player is amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • Very Good! Look at the bassists shadow at 3:32 there is a little man on his arm ;)

  • only you would notice that lol

  • Good cover, Bass players good, still messes up a bit. Excellent cover, hard song, and impressive drummer, Guitarist cuts way to short during the 2nd verse after the first part of the song. But other then that pretty sweet.

  • very good guys. bassist kicks ass

  • awesome but the audio is a little off :p

    great job:) Loving the bassist

  • wtf??? RUSH rocks friggin socks

  • its jonas brothers minus the gayness and the virginity

    fucking crazy

  • WOW!

  • paresen ancianos tocan lento

  • Screw all you negative comment turds. If you knew what it takes musically to perform like this, you'd have more appreciation for them at their perspective ages. BRAVO....nicely done guys!!

  • i dont think there are any negative comments. But id there are i agree with you

  • Awesome! These guys are really talented :-)

  • Nowadays songs like Tom Sawyer and YYZ is becoming old hat, it seems like were getting kids coming out of the woodwork playing Rush. Back in the day if you could play Rush, that was a real feather in your cap, now it's like..Rush..whatever?, great job.
