I worked in a Victorian asylum and it had much that was good and bad. For a novel about it you should read this: lulu.com/commerce/index.php?fBuyContent=12603398&fBuyProductType=print&cid=ALC_uk_email_cms_6_1
dont you find it a strange thing that if you go to church to worship god it's ok though if you do some thing and say that god told you to do it your then labled mentle?
@rmoneill20 Indeed it was not a wonderful place, only sane people might find it repulsive. Though the patients, I think, cared little to nothing about it. Most of the time just living on, without knowing anything of the world outside.
@BoringBoy8400 Honestly i was in a mental hospital 5 times and these places are only horrible in the fact that there is no freedom and can be very boring. The fact of the matter is that it is an ok place due to the fact that you know you are being helped
Then, in the 1980's, they mentally ill were forced out of the state hospitals to live on the streets (that's not what was supposed to happen, but sadly, that's what actually happened).
So this place must be in Oklahoma -if so what is the name of this place ?

Seems like a step in the right direction for our troubled ones. Better than roaming the streets confused and hungry like so many are these days.
