It sucks that you need so many white pearl loops and dragon scales and those are bloody hard to get! I only need like three more train parts total and then I've got all trains.

@LegendaryxEyes White pearl loops and dragon scales can sometimes be found in the Castle Town shop or Beedle's shop. Their merchandise changes every day as determined by the clock in your DS. If you change the date on your DS, the in-game date will change. If you cheat by advancing the date by one day each time you check the shops, you will eventually get the item you want.

Another good way to find those is to do the prize postcard drawing. The ones you mentioned are usually second place prizes.

@BOB74j Thanks for the advice, mate! Yeah, I know both of them are occasionally availabe in the e.g. Castle Town shop. I buy them from Beedle's shop too. Also I send prize post cards everyday. Also I play the minigames to win WPL's and Dragon Scales. But changing the date never crossed my mind! I better do that then. Since I need like 7 white pearl loops and I've got 0 :D I'll never get those otherwise.

@thomasking2000 Good luck finding anyone on YouTube who owns a DS, Spirit Tracks, lives within 30 feet of you and is actually willing and able to trade with you. Plus trades are one-for-one. You can't trade two items for one.

@TheDarkshadow124 Just hold onto your treasures until you're on your way to the ocean realm. At the very edge of the forest realm, there will be a station called the trading post. There, you can trade in your treasure for train parts. Different train parts give your train better armor. Refrain from selling your treasure until you have gotten all the golden train parts and any other parts you want; some treasures are extremely rare.

It's kind of pathetic that you had to watch a walkthrough in order to get to where you are in this game. It's among the easiest Zelda games.

@Dracodragon888 That's okay. An Action Replay modifies the signals going between the game card and the DS itself. It can allow you to use cheats like unlimited health, unlocking everything, etc. on a per-game basis.

@6799aaron The bomb trains are faster than yours because otherwise, you wouldn't have to pay attention whatsoever in order to avoid them. I think the bomb trains should have been made a lot faster, smarter, more resistant to cannon fire, and able to cover much wider areas of the tracks to make them actually somewhat of a challenge. If they were actually difficult, a whole new depth of strategy would have been added to the game.

@HippoInTheShoe As long as you're playing on the North American version of a legitimate, store-bought cartridge of Spirit Tracks and you aren't using any cheats, the golden train parts should be available as soon as you acquire the freight car. It's all the way at the bottom of the list. If you're sure you checked the very bottom, maybe those parts are unlocked later in the game...

@HippoInTheShoe A little while ago, I started playing through Spirit Tracks in its entirety again. I believe I may have figured out what triggers Linebeck to begin selling the golden train parts. You have to have or have had in the past at least one of all 16 types of treasure. You will see them on the collection screen as you acquire them. If you're at the sand temple, you probably have every type but the alchemy stones.
