It's normal you never saw the gym in the anime. The anime doesn't really respect the games in the frist place, and this gym is different from the Diamond and Pearl version, on which the anime would have been based anyway.

Also, be on the lookout to the right of Eternia. If I'm not mistaken, you can capture Meditite there, a solid Fighting/Psychic type.

also, heres some other info: cherrim transforms in the sunlight, magical leaf ALWAYS hits, and if you get the eevee from the blond girl I mentioned in my earlier comment, you can evolve it into a grass type by leveling it up near the moss rock in the forest, or an ice type near an ice rock later in the game. hope this helps.

When you get to Hearthome, which is after Eterna, try to find a blond girl inside a house, she will give you an Eevee. Don't get her confused with the one in black clothing that will give you egg.

Also, you can get an eevee in hearthome city... If you can wait until you get near snowpoint city to evolve it, I would recommend evolving it into the ice type glaceon, but if you can't wait till then, I would say espeon would make a pretty good edition to your team as well...

Bike shop is next to the pokemon center... Also, if you go back into the forest you were just in, now that you have cut, you now have access to the old chateau! If you go in there, and talk to the tv in the top floor at 8-9:00 (I think) you will find the ghost/electric pokemon rotom! Also, ghastly and haunter appear there as well...

@PurpleRodri Haha yeah, if you go into the menu and go to badges you can use your pen thing (if playing on DS) or mouse (if playing on Emulator) to polish your badges, otherwise they will look completely like dark and burnt.
