Some of you may take this wrong. But the reason for crappy shows, now-a-days, is do to the fact of where we are going--in a sense of morality! Sure, things on TV weren't great back then (either), but they sure beat what we watch now! I'm afraid to see what's in store for the future. It seems about every ten years, kids shows get more and more adult-like, don't you agree? : (

This episode brought a tear to my eye. I remember it so distinctly from years past, but at the time I had no idea it was essentially the final episode.

Watching these all again certainly sparked some good feelings from my childhood.

The show was very popular. People of any age liked the show. Nickelodeon wanted to make a show for kids, not all ages. That wasn't really a good reason to cancel a show. Just because Nickelodeon is a network for kids doesn't mean teenagers and adults can't enjoy shows on that network too. There are "Nicktoons" that everybody likes.

Even though the story cuts off here I think this turned out to be a rather nice 'final' episode.

Suzee didn't mention Catalina once after they got back into space.

I guess their time apart on the planet in the beginning of season 2 must have put a strain on their friendship. Even so, each of them is the only link to the other's home world, so you'd think it would come up once or twice.

COMALiteJ: There's a chance we may get a continuation. Peter David who worked on the show, mentioned in one of his posts (on a Spider-Man messageboard) that he's looking to continue the series in comicbook format. Nickelodeon's given him liscense to do so, and Tokyopop (A manga company) was planning to publish the comic in 2006, but backed out. He mentioned it because I was asking about unproduced spoilers, and declined to provide any.

Actually, just last year I thought we had a deal with Tokyopop to do a comic series that would continue the adventures. An enthusiastic artist was attached, I'd acquired comic book rights from Nickelodeon. And then with no explanation whatsoever Tokyopop decided not to do it. Kind of a shame.
