Well.. there are a few different things than saying accepting blacks is accepting gays. When we deploy we share the same quarters. Same room, side by side. In America we are are all Born equal we are not guaranteed equal out come. Some people misinterpret America's Ideal of equality to mean all actions and behavior should be considered equal.

Our military is an all-volunteer force, secular in function, intended to defend the culture they volunteer from. This includes ALL family relations, not just a Christian version.

In a 2008 Military Times survey %10 of the military said that they would "not reenlist or extend their service" if it was repealed. A further %14 percent said that they would "consider not re-enlisting or extending" their military careers. That is a %24 of the military for less than %2 of the population. Additionally %80 of the major STDs are in gays. What if you are covered in their blood in combat?

In WWII Congress declared war on Germany and Japan. Then they sent in the military and said win the war. They won it. After that the politicians started dictating to the military and Vietnam and Korea are perfect examples of what happens when they control the military instead of the military leaders.

Now the government controls everything and they are trying to control the military even by bribing them.

Well.. there are a few different things than saying accepting blacks is accepting gays. When we deploy we share the same quarters. Same room, side by side. Now, does that mean that gay men- who are attracted to men should be seperated like men and women? Women feel they may be raped in their sleep if they share living quarters with men- and there are times this has happened. Men rape other men, should this not be consiered? Or lesbians?

In America we are are all Born equal we are not guaranteed equal out come. Some people misinterpret America's Ideal of equality to mean all actions and behavior should be considered equal.
Similarly some people misinterpret equal under the law to mean that all actions 'similarly labeled' should receive equal value and status under the law.

You know practically speaking it would not be sound to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell. In a 2008 Military Times survey %10 of the military said that they would "not reenlist or extend their service" if it was repealed. A further %14 percent said that they would "consider not re-enlisting or extending" their military careers. That is a %24 of the military for less than %2 of the population. Additionally %80 of the major STDs are in gays. What if you are covered in their blood in combat?

I could not or would not knowledgeably fight side by side with a homosexual in combat. In the Military we have to shower and live amongst each other. The word Faggot is thrown 200 times a day. If someone in the military is openly gay would be treated differently in battle. In battle we are fighting for the man to the left and the right of us. I believe some soldiers would shoot the gay soldier in battle and say it was sustained in battle. 50% of Iraqi's are bisexual and look at them.

@bersaba I agree completely.. why would anyone choose to give themselves a "handicap"?
The fact that homosexuality occurs in nature only supports the idea that gays choose to live a certain way and invite the world to see them as a minority, then want everyone else to change to be more accommodating. The difference between animals and humans and what makes our species so advanced is that we have control. We can decide based on benefits and consequences how to live, not based on impulses.

@NobodyBelievesYou Homosexuality is in human nature, always has been and always will be. It is NATURAL because it occurs in Nature. Do other mammals build churches and pray to god? Then Religion is a man made institution that isnt natural. Using Religion to claim that Homosexuality is unnatural is a losing argument.
Why deny homosexuals the right to live the way they were born??

They have the same rights to live a peaceful productive life in anyway they desire to. Being homosexual should not take away the civil rights heterosexuals enjoy everyday!!

Saying it occurs in nature only classifies a culture as a bunch of animals that have no control over their impulses. That is far from a justifiable reason for equal rights. We don't walk around naked and sh*t on tree stumps, do we? No, because we know its not civilized.
Race is something you are born with. You have no choice but to show your skin color. On the other hand, homosexuality is something you CHOOSE to broadcast to the world.
