@Neumie7 For thin hair probably just past shoulder length. For shorter thicker hair it helps to just pin the hair over the clip. Leave out 1 strand of hair on the top left and top right to make it look like my ends here ;)

@bungasyakirinairawan It takes me about 5 years to grow to classic length (buttocks) but for everyone hair grows at a different speed. Once you start growing you will see how fast it grows, you can measure growth too, I have another video "how to trim and measure your hair".

@iiliketospit Once a week. Although that might not work for everyone since some peoples hair gets greasy very fast. Start with a mild detergent shampoo and your hair will adjust to produce less grease (Aubrey Organics, Kiss my Face shampoo f. ex.)

ich habe gestern diese Frisur nachgemacht und es sah toll aus. Nur habe ich leider nicht so langes Haar wie Du( but i´m working on it). Aber es hat trotzdem geklappt, ich konnte eben nur nicht so oft drumwickeln. Ein wirklich einfacher aber effektvoller Dutt, vielen Dank für das schöne Video.

Ich finde es super, was man mit langen Haaren alles machen kann und ich kenne inzwischen richtig viele Sachen. Ich freue mich wenn ich endlich so ein Länge erreicht habe, wie Du! TOLL!

Oh I mourn the loss of my hair now, I used to have it down just past the small of my back while living in the Netherlands but when I returned back to Australia the weather or water must have done something because it started falling out. This resulted in my chopping the lot off in one go to 2 inches all over. I kept it short for a year but am now growing it again, to just above my shoulders so far. Your videos help me know I can wear it long again in this country and the styles are glorious

what kind of products do you use for hair care? I switched to eco and bio products about 7 months ago, wash my hair every 4 days now and it's true, they are getting much better and healthier!! Now all I have to do is wait for them to get long! lol

@regalianpeaches That was a good approach, most natural or organic brands are milder so your hair won't dry out as fast. I use Earthly Delight Shampoo and Conditioner (willner.com) so far the mildest I could find that still cleanses well enough.

I use shikakai powder with vegetable ceramides, silk proteins and once in a while I use rhassoul morrocan clay in a masque in my hair.. alot of work to get nice hair lol

@senfloewe Ui, das kommt ganz darauf an warum sie brechen. Am wichtigsten ist wohl dass man sie nicht strapaziert, heisst Dinge wie Faerben, Foehnen, Glaetten, Stylen und was es alles gibt, gibt man am besten auf. Mit Henna toenen waere aber okay da es dem Haar nicht schadet. Ich hab auch viel ueber meine Routine in meinem Blog geschrieben, vielleicht findest du da was brauchbares? ;)

@SpecialKay666 Normally once a week. I used to wash daily before that, but my scalp was just so out of balance that my hair was dirty after a day or two. Luckily I was able to reverse the damage and balance it out so its not producing any gunk.

Washing less is THIS much better for the lengths btw.

@Checkerin79 naja, sagen wir mal so, wenn man die Haare hochstecken kann, und dann noch die eigentlichen Spitzen ueber einem grossen Clip ausbreiten kann, dann ist das schon viel Haar ;) Mein Pferdeschwanzumfang hat da 9cm gemessen, das ist 2cm ueberm Durchschnitt. Allerdings wird glatt und rutschig schnell mal mit duenn verwechselt.

If it is shorter than shoulder length it won't work, but if it is around shoulder length or more just stop once you flip the ponytail over and pin it into a ball over the clip right there. You will need some real hair pins to make this hold.

The clips pull less if you pick a good one, maybe the "no slip" by scunci, and they have to have the right size, fit snug so they don't slide down. And try different places on your head, I have a perfect spot for updos. If all does not work you can try this with a barette or ficcare clip.

Neat! I have been doing something so similar to this. It is called a "wrap" bun. I twist my hair up in the same way and clip it just like you did, but I wrap my hair back and forth on the sides only so you can still see the clip in the middle and I pin my ends. I will try this variation. I like what you do with the ribbon and how you leave your ends loose.
