My memories of the beautiful Sharon Tate go all the way back to 1962, when she played Drysdale's secretary ( a foil for Nancy Culp)! I believe her mother, Doris, has passed. But for awhile, I lived in Long Beach, Ca., at the same time she did. Doris (hope I remember the name correctly) fought a two-decade battle against the Manson devils, to bring them to justice, and thwart them at parole board hearings!
I agree with all of you. This beautiful young woman had the life (and the life of her unborn baby) snuffted out of her by those animals! I hope that they all continue to rot in jail! They should never, ever get out! We don't need anymore tragedies like this.

God bless Sharon Tate!! I've read alot about Sharon tate, and I've read alot of statements of people who knew her, and I can honestly say NO ONE had anything bad to say about her. In fact every person who knew her has said the same thing, that she was a kind, sweet, caring, gentle, loving, pure human being. She was wonderful, and she would've been a wonderful mother had she not been denied the chance. Sharon should NOT have died so soon, but she is and will forever be at peace in heaven!!!

@adar5708 A measure of what a hero Voytik was is shown in the police photos. Even as he was dying his only thought was to try and reach his beloved Gibby who had been chased outside and killed. Blood trails showed he had tried to drag himself outside to reach her.

He picked the house because he was familiar with the lay-out of the house and the grounds, from having visited there a few times while Melcher was living there.

God bless Sharon Tate!! I've read alot about Sharon tate, and I've read alot of statements of people who knew her, and I can honestly say NO ONE had anything bad to say about her. In fact every person who knew her has said the same thing, that she was a kind, sweet, caring, gentle, loving, pure human being. She was wonderful, and she would've been a wonderful mother had she not been denied the chance. Sharon should NOT have died so soon, but she is and will forever be at peace in heaven!!!

I have seen the crime scene photos and the bleeding heart liberals who allow them to go free should look at them. I also remember Gibbys last words "I`m already dead" . Sharons mother summed it up best when she said that she would agree to them being given parole when the day came that the victims could walk out of their graves.

Ok, as this clip has spurred an interested in the circumstances of her death & it's clear so many people are still haunted by Manson's cult, I can't help but recommend Squeaky Fromme's biography for those of you who really want to dig deep. It actually sheds a lot of light on this dark chapter of our history & helped me to let go of much of my fear & hate regarding it. Essentially, it has a lot to do with how our society handles (or rather, mishandles) schizophrenia.

All those people who say they should be released and forgiven should look at those photos and ask themselves if they would be so forgiving it was their family. I was at the POP festival in New Port, this song was a very uplifting and heart given reminder of the peace that was among the festival supporters and the music makers. The followers of this gathering were as if it was made for all who attended. Now there is no replacement for trust and love, and peace. very interesting fact about this record playing on the turntable when the lapd showed up - the first i've heard of it and I've read quite a few books on the subject (not saying it is not true) - we know for a fact that the Polanski's were friendly with the Phillips of Mamas and Papas fame. Interesting all the same!

@TheTimmyH Actually it's an urban legend that this record was on the turntable, BUT the B-side of this record, "Straight Shooter", was the sheet music that was on the piano when LAPD showed up....It's all still pretty creepy. There R many connections: The Mamas & the Papas were all friends of the Tates(Roman initially thought that John was involved), the Manson family may have even "creepy-crawled" John & Michelle 1 night B4 the murders, & they all used the same drug dealers.

I must amend my comment of three weeks ago. I am no fan of the Manson Family, I deplore them. But when the LAPD arrived at the Tate house, this song WAS playing (the album on the turntable was playing but the stacking arm on the turntable was left open, resulting in its repetitive playing), in the LAPD's case notes this was stated. Obviously the album belonged to one of the victims. I only stated this as an interesting fact. I was not trying to glamorize the crime. I'm a Sharon Tate fan.
