  • this is not a v8 guys. dude dosent know. watch his ken gushi"s tc on a dif vid. its a 4cly

  • @SeanAxela And yet still inferior to LeMans series, or Formula 1.

  • @SeanAxela thats like saying figure skating is better then hockey or speed skating...

  • the sky has a ls1 corbette engine listen to it its not a 4 cylinder rythmnsmoke its a v8 just listen to it the tc has a v6

  • dan lime green and gray is a great color combo

  • sick

  • It just seems so awkward when i see what we usually see as a front wheel drive scion going sideways

  • The thing that fails in American drifting is that gripping will smoke these cars so bad.

  • People...PLEASE...the video is labeled wrong. Ken Gushi' tC is powered by a 4cly 3s-ge Beams motor. About 400whp.

TANNER FOUST has the Toyota V8 Nascar motor in his tC. 9k rpms 600+whp.

  • and how can you'll "think" its ken gushi's tC or "think" is tanner frosts?? it says RS*R right on the side and gushi's tC is the RS*R tanners is Rockstar tC.

  • my bad i meant foust... thinking about other things while originaly typing this out.

  • @unresolved777 actually both cars are RS*R, the difference is that tanner's car is sponsored by Rockstar, while Gushi's is sponsored by SR (Scion Racing).

They do have diferent engines tho because i think tanner went for the nascar V8

  • @dansulo1 im pretty sure RS*R is Different than SR. cuz you only see Ken Gushi'd tC on the RS*R website, and both are on the SR website

  • @dansulo1 Tanner's car is sponsored and built by RockStar. Gushi's car is built by RS*R. They are both featured on SR.

  • @rhythmnsmoke no, gushi's is build by SR, RS*R is the model, same way there is mustang GT-R, but for scion RS is the release series, reacing version, there is standard rs 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 on normal scions (i should know, i got one :D)

  • @dansulo1 Scion Racing doesn't build cars dude. Scion Racing is the sponsor. RS*R is an actual Automotive shop that "Built" the car. RS*R is not a Model. RS stands for Release series, not Racing Version. The RS model tC's are cosmetic enhancements. They might have a strut bar or two here and there, but it's definitely not some "Racing" version of the car. Click on my screen name, and you will see I'm not a noob to the tC.

  • @rhythmnsmoke dude read my reply, i know RS stands for release series, thats what i said, but the last R from RS*"R" stands for type-r or racing, chill man

im no tc noob either lol, most of the drift cars are a complete different car, the just change the outside depending on the sponsor

  • @dansulo1 Why did you mention RS for the tC and trying to tie it with RS*R for Gushi? You stated...."RS*R is the model, same way there is mustang GT-R, but for scion RS is the release series, reacing version"

RS*R is not a Model man. It's a company that built the car. To be a "Model" like the GTR Mustang, there would have to be more than one you know. Like "Shelby" Cobra. "Shelby" is a company too, but they Produce Cobra Mustangs of their own specs. RS*R is not like Shelby for the Stang

  • @dansulo1 "Shelby" to the Ford is the equivalent of "TRD" to Toyota, except Shelby is much better in terms of building performance minded cars. RS*R to Scion is no different than RockStar is to Scion. Two Aftermarket performance Companies that built two different tC's for drifting. That has nothing to do with RS (release series) for the tC. If you didn't mean it did, then why did you mention that? You kind of confused me when you wrote it, so I'm not sure why you brought it up.

  • @rhythmnsmoke dude, not trying to hate but comparing shelby to trd is night and day. one is a company built by the love of an enthusiast from the 60's and 70's and one is a factory backed company owned and operated by toyota.

  • @nathanallencox No one is comparing TRD to Shelby. It was a simple way to get the kid to understand what I was saying. I used Shelby as an example man, not a direct comparison.

  • @dansulo1 RS*R has built other drift cars such as their S2000. RS*R has nothing to do with being Toyota. It's a Shop/Company all on it's own. You are confusing yourself with Scion's branding for their Release Series line of xB's, xA's, tC's and xD's. That has nothing to do with Ken Gushi's RS*R built tC. RS*R built Gushi's tC into a drift car. You bought a RS (release series) tC from Toyota. To totally different things and not even close to being the same thing.

  • @rhythmnsmoke ill be damed, hey man i might have got it wrong lol, but hey, drink a beer, take a pill or two man, nobody is pointing a gun at u, chill

  • @dansulo1 LOL...I am chilled man. Nobody is upset with you, just informing you about the cars bro.

  • I think its Ken gushi, you can hear the guy say it over the mic, and its a blacktop 3sge from an Altezza built and turbo'd, they didn't come stock with a turbo, the 3sgte did,

oh and their is another RWD TC with a v8, i think its Tanner douche's.

  • i think its a w12 mugen spoon model with a nos fogger system and twin turbosuperchargers with a veilside fuel injected headers and 13 speed manumatic tranny and its painted by mariamotosoko terriyaki.

  • Is it me or did the announcer have an orgasm all over the microphone? LOLOL

  • that doesnt sound like any v8 engine i have ever heard, unless they make v8 weed wackers. sounds like a 4 banger

  • smoke doesnt matter at all, its speed, angle, aggresiveness, and following distance

  • i never got VS. in drifting? like how do u win?

  • how close you stay to the car in front and if your in front its how far away you are from second place and how much smoke you make and speed and angle

  • TC still sounds like a straight 4, inline 4, No way can it be a V8 lol.

  • its a v8. the motor is from toyota, same motor as the one in nascar

  • Comment removed

  • uhm, no silly rabbit. A 2jz doesnt sound anything like that. And the Title says specificly the tc has a v8 and the sky has the v8 ls1. Get ur shit strait.

  • 2jz sounds waaaaay better than that.....

  • Yeah, sorry, goofed on that, it's not a 2JZ anymore, it's a little 3SGTE now.

  • it doesnt use the 3s-gte motor it uses a beams blacktop 3s-ge motor built and tuned by yamaha. idk about now, but from the factory they were done by yamaha

  • That's in Foust's car, not this one.

  • That's what I said, Tanner's TC has a NCWTS 341ci V8 with a fuel injection system. This is Ken Gushi's TC, It just has a different paint job from last year.

  • Oh, I was saying that to yuds16, but stupid youtube gets the comments out of order.

  • The Scion has a 2JZ turbo. The Sky has a Crate LS7.

  • Flipside you idiot.. does that sound anything like a 2jz? Have you ever heard a 2jz before? After that comment i dont think you have..

  • that scion does not have a V8 in it,maybe a V6,but not a V8,listen to it as it leaves the track,no way.

  • Comment removed

  • its LS1 not LS7 the LS1 is a corvette motor.

  • pretty sure they r both corvette motors

  • lol virtually every LS block has been the vette at one time or another

  • 3STE, the Sky does have a V8 though, just mis tagged the vid.

  • RWD Conversions are not allowed in the Formula D Tournament. Wha they did was use a similar Toyota chassis that is RWD and used the Scion Shell.

  • Actually it is a rear wheel drive conversion. There's an allwheel drive wagon in Japan that shares the same floor pan as the tc and in FD an allwheel to rear wheel conversion is ok. so because it's you can get a cousin to the TC in allwheel drive over seas, FD lets them run it here. No "shell switching" needed.

  • Someone who knows a thing or to about the tC...nice. Slight correction, the chassis is in Europe not in Japan. No biggie though. Comes from the Toyota Avensis sold in Europe.

  • @rhythmnsmoke i thought the chassis was also in Japan, cuz didnt the AWD Toyota Caldina use it with the 3S-GTE motor?

  • @unresolved777. Our chassis comes from the AWD Avensis, not Caldina. The Caldina was a Celica that indeed run the 3s-gte motor. But that's not the basis for the tC. The Avensis is.

  • the scion is definetly put some hard work into guys..and yea.DEFINETLY a conversion to rwd

  • i love weedwacker engines ! =D

  • i didnt noe scion was rear drive? or is tat converted to back drive? write back please

  • its def. a conversion, unless if u decide to use the handbrake constanty and u'll need alot more power 4 a scion to drift

  • its ff they did a rwd conversion on this one

  • converted to rwd

  • thats not the v8 tc

  • no but its the twin cuz tanner foust just got his with a nascar engin and RWD conversion and i guess its the twin

  • This car has been around for two years already. It was the normal RSR red and white before this year. It's not V8 powered like Tanner's it has a 2JZ. The Sky has a crate LS7 in it.

  • that tc sounds more like a boxer engine than a v8.

  • Maybe it was a 4.0L Lexus V8 swap. They're pretty good engines.

  • The Saturn Sky has the LS1 swap. The T/C is just something else.

  • I think you're right man i believe Ken Gushi's has a V8 and if theis one does then it sounds like crap for a V8

  • I thought Scion tc only have fwd

  • Its a swap obviously..

  • haha i laugh at you! I'll let you think about it...

  • That's a wicked Scion!

  • lol SEARS

  • v8 tc? pwnage haha
