Tessaiga is the actual version, at least it should be spelled in that way. Because in written japanese, there cannot be two s-letters in a row. So they replace the two s-letters with the syllable "tsu". So the word is written as "tetsusaiga" but is supposed to be spelled as "tessaiga". I hope I got the explaining right, english is not my first language.
