It's not only about the Iraq War, it's more specifcally about the problems during Bush's presidency. But it can also be interpreted as a general song for taking a stance: "So if you've got a dream and a lot to do, put your hands up and I'll copy you". Martin Luther King Jr. is a perfect example of this.

I agree partially with kiwi, because, obviously, there are some situations where we will need to fight (when diplomacy and negotiation do not work). Even so, marching into other countries that we are suspicious of is not the best strategy. However, Obama's administration is not as senseless as it seems. Yes, Iraq has problems, but we did not absolutely need to concern ourselves with that. They weren't a huge threat [as much as Afghanistan (where our fighting is necessary)].
