  • That last statement is a total lie, I personally know CHP officers and there are quotas it's just not talked about, and this guy people behaving badly you need to get out more often and not worry about petty violations

  • This is just more of the Nanny state programming us to give up our rights and freedoms. Stanley is just a puppet supporting the American Gestapo, otherwise known as "Law Enforcement".

  • seat belt laws are stupid. if people don't want to where seat belts that's only hurting themselves. if want to do meth that only hurts myself.(unless i rob home depot for paint thinner because i ran out of money for drugs) if i buy a nuclear bomb that doesn't hurt anybody.(unless i detonate it) if i drive drunk that doesn't hurt anybody.(unless I cause a collision). if i want to go 180 mph on the streets it doesn't hurt anybody but myself.(unless i rear end a motorcycle or something similar)

  • @mrmike2702 what's a quota system?

  • I live in ariz and Iknow a few motorcycle cops.

They told me that they have a quota they show up for work grab a handful of ticket books

    and start the day

  • BS!! for that quota system...They have those around the globe!!

  • @Rob2977 Damn right I've even been told by Georgia State Patrol and Carroll county that it's TRUE

  • Wonder if that last truck got pulled over.

  • The CHP absolutely does have a quota system..Its aprox, 20 per 10 hr shift.. You need to speak with an Honest Officer off the record sometime..And as for the revenue driven citation sytem, you are wrong again...The Officers from numerous agencies in California have been told by there superiors, not to miss traffic court dates, due to the loss in revenue.. Again, Speak with an Honest Officer offline, and you may get the truth...

  • @5150ToddB That's a ticket every half hour yeah right you idiot

  • @mustangmikeca ..OK.. I'll use small words so even you can understand...The average time to write a Traffic citation in California is 8 minutes. The clock starts from the minute the office initiates the stop, up until the driver signs and is released. So, even a genious like yourself can do that math.. not too difficult to write 20 tickets in 10 hr period..And just so you know, my information is straight from the CHP.. I am really sorry you spent most of your childhood riding the short bus....

  • Hi Stanley, quick question, what microphone do you use to record the voice overs?

  • @PowerstrokeRacing24 I have no Idea its in a little room......

  • CHP citations are to make driver’s drive safe!!!

  • @shiharnold Not true.. Distractions are the main cause of accident, speeding citations are the main source of Revenue for the State...

  • @5150ToddB I have to disagree with you…bad and inexperience drivers are the main cause of accident. As far as speeding citations…just don’t speed! When do you see a law abiding drivers get speeding tickets!!! Car + excessive speed = accident and injuries...sometimes death!!!

  • @shiharnold I would respectfully disagree...Is speeding dangerous.. Sometimes.. The accident rate on the autobahn is substantially lower than anywehre in our highway system, and we all know in some parts of Germany there isn't a speed limit. There are other factors to consider, such as inexperience, as you stated, vehicle type and conditon, road conditions..etc etc...

  • @5150ToddB Granted…most European freeways are safer than our freeways…Autobahns have no general speed limit, but it does have advisory speed limit. In the US, tickets in fact lead to fewer vehicle accidents. Furthermore, tickets do help to reduce non-fatal injuries from vehicle accidents.

  • it's still kin of a cash grab. I mean it may not fund the police but fills coffers of cities. Also do California vehicles have to pay a registration fee each year??

  • Thanks for clarifying that CHP makes nothing off tickets and they dont have a quota infact when the economy started going down hill the officers were advised to give people warnings, write fix it tickets and reduce tickets written as long as the person isnt doing something dangerous ect, officers discretion.

  • CHP makes 0 off tickets!

  • @MaddDogg81breakin' the law, breakin' the law

  • don't taxes pay for cops. Also the tickets still fill government coffers. Also as if just vehicle registrations pay for all the cops and equipment

  • The other day I was driving really fast and ran a stop sign and was pulled over and the cop tried to take my licence but I bullshitted my way out and didn't even get a ticket

  • See...not all cops are crooked:)

  • ......(silent)....... THE PASSENGER...! u gave me a fright man- my volume was on high too.

  • The "no quota" is true...... BUT according to my neighbor cop agencies do monitor their officers on their ticket issuance and it's a matter of monitoring if their officers are just sitting in a donut shop during their shift and overall if "they're doing their duty".

  • I have met *a lot* of chp officers, and have never met one who hasn't written a ticket, and I have never even heard of one who has never written a ticket.

  • @lovelessissimo There are CHP officers that haven't given tickets... Just no "breaks." If its a chance that wasn't the vehicle they saw violate the law they won't give a ticket... But you gotta think their job is traffic enforcement. City PD's/SO's etc have different jobs and traffic is on the bottom of the priority list.

  • Thank god for law enforcement and thank god for Stanley who points out the details that most people don't want to hear: CHP is out there to protect you and to enforce laws that were voted on by people who were voted into office by a majority of CA voters.

  • @workingclasssociety Why because I told the truth? Should I allow people to be misinformed?

  • @TVman1981 Some people thrive on misinformation, which feeds their persecution complex. The self-fulfilling prophecy ensures that they feel justified...when they get ticketed.

  • @workingclasssociety WOW and it only took me 5 years to reach sellout status!!! Thank you!

  • @workingclasssociety

Working class? He was driving a Mercedes you fool.

  • @rich0319726 officers have something called "discretion." If they feel that they need to give a ticket, they can issue one. If they don't feel that they need to issue one, they don't have to. They can give out warnings for all they care. They are handed ticket books, but they're the ones who choose to write your name and DL # in them.

Why don't you go and befriend some police officers. And I'm sure you will meet or you will hear of officers that have never given tickets.

  • everyone knows police officers have a quota system to write tickets. Instead of serving and protecting us they use us as an ATM. Do they care that they are jacking up people's insurance premiums and jeopardizing people's jobs by forcing them to go to court for every little offense. I know several local cops, and what do you know? It turns out the profession attracts sociopaths who like to have authority over others. They are notorious philanderers and have no respect for the public.

  • @logick0 "philanderers" that is so irrelevant it is actually stupid. And 'everyone knows' is what people say when there is no evidence to support their argument. Every profession will attract a certain number of bad people but it doesn't mean everyone in that profession is bad.

  • @rich0319726

not necessarily, I know some officers that have never given any kinds of tickets in their whole career. (Some of them span 30+ years)

  • @mrbear24 That's a flat out lie.

  • @mrbear24 If that's true then they were never traffic cops.

  • Good video but i have a question what are proofs of you saying there is no quota system for officers. Is it written somewhere? Nothing personal just curiosity.

  • @unforgiventale977 I have been to a few CHP ride alongs and sat thru their briefings and I have never once heard the sergent discuss how many tickets was issued for the month. Its always about what dangers are present currently, what to keep an eye for (ex, child abductions etc. ) and be safe. After that we drive around looking for people breaking the law, somedays we see alot, some days we dont even find anyone. CHP are there to enforce the law, if you get caught breaking it, you will be ticket

  • @unforgiventale977 Yes there is a law against officers have a quota... However there is something called a performance review given to CHP officers... They don't look for all tickets but lets say this: An officer responds to little crashes, have very little activity with no tickets... We'll there SGT is gonna say "What have you been doing this whole time??" So in a sense, them giving tickets if your tax dollars at work.

  • Good info. I enjoy these videos a lot.

  • Seems wrong to be punishing citizens for government spending... Just a thought

  • @macdaddy1199 there bankrupting all the citizen, and soon the law will impound their cars and even impound their houses.

  • @sideslide23 There? I'm pretty sure the job of CHP is to enforce laws that are on the books. Not sure what job you have, but I'm sure you'd get fired really quick if you didn't listen to your boss about what you're supposed to do. Laws are on the books for a reason. Don't like the law, get it changed through the same legislative process that it was enacted. The enforcement part is a whole different issue.

  • @fenix9885 Fair, reasonable, and logical statements, I agree.

  • 0:12 wasnt that Texas plates?

  • @rocketman5989 Nope California

  • The courts must be sitting on a sh*t ton of money then. The money does go to a government body of some form.

  • @roughrider119 Lets hope we go fast 5 on their asses then, take all their money and RUn like hell to Europe Or canada

  • @roughrider119 Yes but the point is... What does CHP get out of it...Nothing. So it's to keep you safe, not to be jerks.

  • Great segment.

  • Good video.
