Pocketful of Kryptonite was a superb album. This very talented band were a brilliant throwback to the spirit of the 60s, the San Fransisco Woodstock type of vibe, but mixed with this tight, funky urban feel as well. I get annoyed that this is the only song of theirs that gets played on British radio. The atmosphere that they created in some songs like Sweet Widow is quite special. One of the greats, alas always to be underrated in today's debased music and radio station scene.

This was in the UK charts in May 1993. Did the lead singer - after this track was released - have a problem with his throat, which meant he could no longer sing? I remember something about it on the news. Great track though, and brings bitter/sweet memories.

@TheBelly58 Yeah, well remembered. Chris Barron recorded the LP after this but completely lost his voice to the extent he had to write eveything down for people to understand him. He later made a full recovery. This lot also did the theme tune for 'Spin City' the Michael J Fox sitcom. I never knew what the term 'spin doctor' meant when this came out, Alistair Campbell put paid to that one in a few years though!
